Outfox the Market Fix'd Dual Mar24 v1.0

So I ran my details through the cheap energy club this morning, fully expecting to end up switching to the EDF Essentials 1 year fixed tariff ending tomorrow.

However, Outfox the Market's Fix'd Dual Mar24 v1.0 came up as being even cheaper based on my actual usage data by about £60 a year compared to the EDF Essentials. It also has no early exit fees, so seems to be a no-brainer to go for it over EDF.

I'm a bit confused however - the deal is logged as "border-line" in the "Should I fix" article and the article additionally notes £140 in early exit fees. Plugging the assumed usage from that article into the unit rates still gives a saving of about £30 a year over EDF Essentials - so I am not clear why it isn't listed in the same "Worth considering" category.

Also a bit odd how the Cheap Energy Club calls it up as not being renewable Electricity, which is the opposite of what OtM's own website says.

I don't know if its just a lag between the deal being improved and the MSE website updating, but it is making me doubt why I wouldn't just hit switch to go to OtM.

I think to be "Worth considering" in the mind of ML had/has to be 18% below previous energy cap/6% below current energy cap based on typical average usage not taking account of apparent fact cheapest fixed rate with no exit fees cheaper than current energy cap clearly worth considering.

Yeah i get that, and it clearly states "All tariffs assume typical use (2,700 kilowatt hours of electricity, 11,500 kilowatt hours of gas)" - but if I plug that into the unit rates /standing charge for OtM it comes out at £1520 compared to EDF essentials at £1550 - so if EDF essentials is "worth considering" then it clearly follows that a tariff which is 1.9% cheaper should be in the same category. But it isn't.
