Good morning, it's raining here, as usual.
Not a lot going on here, I'm meeting a friend for coffee, just in our little town so not far to go.
I have washing to do but it'll have to dry inside today.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Good morning, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet, enjoy your coffee time. While I was at the GP surgery yesterday I noticed that the signs on the doors of the W.C.'s had been covered up by a piece of paper, just taped on, saying 'toilet'. Being a bit nosy I asked the nurse about it, she said that there had been a complaint that someone didn't know what W.C, meant and so couldn't find them. I'm not sure if I found it shocking or funny. This afternoon my cleaner is coming so I'll tidy up the coffee table, everything else I keep tidy but somehow the table gets into a guddle. 😀 I've emptied the dishwasher already so feeling slightly virtuous.I wish everyone a good day.11

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. After a dry day yesterday the rain is back today and it looks decidedly gloomy out there.
My DF made it for lunch yesterday as her DH was having a less stress ridden day. She thinks there is more going on with him other than the ongoing anxiety and depression but getting him to agree to see a doctor is proving difficult. He is such hard work to live with. Anyway she enjoyed her break away from him, if only for a few hours, and felt quite relaxed (but that may have been because of the couple of glasses of wine that accompanied our lunch!!)
Going nowhere today as this miserable weather isn't tempting me out when there is nothing I need to go out for. Of course the usual jobs are waiting in the wings if I cba but getting my feet up with my book is sounding more tempting.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad and lonely. I hope Dp1 and her family are enjoying their break in the big city. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -

Wet here but meant to dry up.
Mr F has his weekly nurse appointment this afternoon - still waiting for compression stockings.
Gates for the driveway are due to be delivered today.

Morning all. A bit dull here so far.
Well, I had a good morning looking after the grandchildren yesterday but, by the time I'd driven home, my back was painful and it still hasn't recovered. I guess it was carrying and lifting the 6 month old, who weighs 18lbs. I've cancelled my 2 events for today and am sitting here, taking paracetamol. Hopefully it will settle down by Friday, as I'm leading a 3 mile walk, but, if not, DH can lead the walk and I'll meet them afterwards for lunch.
Other than that, I've arranged a gardener to come and sort out the two borders in the front and booked my newish car back in to have the wheels de-scuffed. DH will get our Larder shopping this morning; he'll have a free choice of everything there so I wonder what he'll come back with?!
Wishing everyone a good day.10 -
Hi everyone,
My new washing machine arrived yesterday. The old one was still working but it had a distinctly sewagey smell that I couldn't get rid of no matter how much I cleaned it or what I used on it. If things weren't taken out immediately it would taint the clothes. We got the most eco-friendly one I could find without paying an absolute fortune (over £1,000 for a washing machine - my parents paid less than that for their first house, needless to say we paid a lot less).
Steve started bringing boxes back from the storage container yesterday so I spent last night going through boxes of children's clothes and sorting them into correct size order rather than the jumble they had got into. Laura never dressed Esben in very boyish things, she liked colourful clothes so most of them will be fine for Esther. Esben now has very decided ideas about what he should wear and of course he's harder on things now he's older so there may not be as many things to pass on now.
Hopefully Steve will bring things that belong to us back next so that I can do some weeding. We have boxes and boxes of cds and dvds that could be whittled right down but I think I might have a battle on my hands with the cds.
Have a good day.10 -
Morning all
Yup raining here again too 😩 it looks like winter out there ! Rest of the week off for me as Rob is still poorly it’s not surprising really as he managed to get hold of a whole block of cheese and ate the lot 😳 his mum was just not quick enough to stop him although I’m sure if she fed him properly he wouldn’t have to steal food !
Food shopping today will see if mum needs a few bits, she enjoyed her day out yesterday which ended up with an OAP fish and chips which she loved.
I need to get the dogs out this morning and then do the shopping, dinner tonight will be a fish finger sandwich I have been craving one lately so a nice easy dinner tonight will do a few chips for OH and dd.
Need to have a quick tidy round and check for any washing that needs doing.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning All
Quick one from me as I have the little one here today and also need to clear the living room for the chimney sweep.
DW emptied, no washing today thank goodness.
Hope everyone is ok, take care. XX10 -
Morning! Definitely not sunny today! It may not be heavily raining but the wind is certainly making up for it. Never mind, the washing is done and dusted now so next jobs are to drop some stuff off at the scrapstore and then the upcycle place, both are roughly in the same place. And some scone making is on the cards, I have more gone off milk. It might be time to change the order for less. I have a basket liner to make and the chair to recover, if it kees raining , that'll be done this week along with a few other things. I'm back down to two leaves from six on the monstera thanks to me being rubbbish with house plants so now it's a waiting game to see if it recovers [yet again]. I just don't have my mothers touch with them.TA, glad you got to have lunch again, your friend has more patience than me, I'd just go out if it was my OH doing that. Ruby, poor Rob, he does seem to have drawn a short straw somewhere with his mum...snoozer, hope you enjoyed the child free days
Hope you're all doing as well as you can or at least not as badly as you were, did that make sense?

Morning everyone,
It is nice to be back after a very difficult few months. Mum and dad are now in nursing homes and we have sold their home. They have both settled in well, unfortunately, we could not place them together because of different needs, but they have both adjusted well.
It is strange to not be on call and tenterhooks for the phone calls after so many years, but we are slowly winding down.
Today, I have been catching up on housework, quite fun to potter with washing, dusting etc.
I hope you are doing well.
