Morning all, thanks Floss,I was surprised to see only 1 post.I'll catch up later as I didnt post yesterday. Raining here.Saturdays meal we hosted for DB1 who retired last week went very well, Suffice to say we overcatered
but it did mean no cooking yesterday, and I've frozen some leftovers too - freezers are rammed again.
I'll cook a chicken later, we're off to the match this afternoon.Right- time for another brew, have a nice Easter Monday/April fools day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
Morning! Back from Wales where we achieved stuff, very proud of my sister, she has taken 17 black bags of clothes out of there for charity and that's just my father clothes. And a big telly with one of those big backs, no idea how she managed that one. Caught up with my cousin too, and did some bits and pieces..Today I am intending to do some pottering and cook a leg of lamb with garlic and herbs n stuff. There's a whole raft of doings for the this week but not today...SO, well done finding a gardener! Aren't the best bits of gardening going to the garden centre? or is that just me? dp1, enjoy the London jaunt, weenancy, that sounds really interesting! Coxy, good to see you, glad your dd is sorted, fingers crossed for the husband next! Ruby, glad you're sleeping again, it's so fuzzy head making when you don't get it. camelot, glad your auntie is well, enjoy the lamb! Gers, glad you got your internet sorted at last! and how lovely that she trekked to see you with your sim. Izzy, good to see you reconnecting with everyone! snoozer, fongers crossed for the next lot fo results. WL, enjoy the new zippy car! rosy, your loaf recipe sounds delicious! so does the greek food, if I didn't have so much in mine, I'd definitely raid your freezer
nanny, I zipped past you on Thursday, right under the storm too, the lightning was hitting in front of me and the thunder was right overhead, I was glad there were higher lorries next to me
enjoy your very own easter eggs! topsy, glad you had a nice time away, fingers crossed for your ds at the next visit..florence, stay put, relax for a change, you put me to shame with your doings...Take care all, enjoy the day, especially if you have some elusive sunshine!

Morning all.
The sun's shining here so will go out in a while. No doubt it will rain later.
Yesterday's walk was quite short but muddy once we'd left the canal path. We had a nice brunch though and have reserved a table at the Cafe on Friday for 10 of us.
Have just ordered mats for my new car and plans for later in the day include ironing, making a fruit cake and cooking chilli for dinner. Must remember to watch the first of Masterchef this evening too.
Hope you don't fall for any April Fools today!10 -

Morning all
Dull and overcast here but yesterday was glorious we were walking in t-shirts we sat outside the pub in the sunshine it was such a treat, we walked for five miles but it was so muddy 😩 my boot kept getting stuck in the mud and I think I’ve twisted my knee while pulling it out as it’s very sore, a day of rest should sort it out.
Dinner today is roast lamb roast potatoes cauli / broccoli cheese, cabbage and leeks mum is coming for dinner and I have a maple and pecan roulade for pudding 😃
Will have a quick tidy through this morning and then prep the dinner we eat in the evening so no great rush, I will attempt to have a sit down this afternoon.
Taff glad the sorting out went well xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

Afternoon all - thanks for starting us off Floss.I've been to my exercise class, took away the recycling and glass and done a small wash. It's a bit dull outside, yesterday was much warmer, though no wind thank goodness. There's lots of little lambs bouncing around the fields, even seen a completely black one, it's a lovely time of year to see new life.I hope that all is well with everyone.10

Hi everyone,
It's lovely here today, unexpected because the forecast was for cloudy skies and showers. I've washed and pegged out our mattress protector and a throw and am washing the sheets and quilt cover as well. I've cleaned the grout on the en-suite floor and am continuing with sorting the children's craft things, games and jigsaws. I'm taking a break because I'm at the stage where things are at their worst before they start to get better.
I want to sort the utility room this week as well so I'd better get cracking again.
I hope all the poorly people are as well as can be expected.
dp1, enjoy London, I hope you don't do too much I always feel exhausted after a day there and it is only a day trip for us.
Have a good day.6
