Morning all. Everyone up bright and early because of the clock change, right?!!
We have a bit of fog here but I'm hoping it's a heat haze as I'm out walking at 11am and would appreciate some decent weather.
Managed to pick up my newish car yesterday and drove it back up the M1. Newer cars seem to have smaller engines these days so I'll have to put my foot down more lol! They had done all the work needed apart from getting rid of the scuff marks on the alloys so I might have to book it back in for that.
Off to have my second cuppa of the day so wish you all a peaceful Easter Sunday.

Thanks for starting us off WL - have a good day walking. And enjoy your new car too. When I changed from a 1.6l diesel to a 1.2l petrol I was astounded at how fast and responsive it was (same make and model). The dealer did tell me this but I was still surprised and happy. The day is starting well, I just hope that it stays that way. Nothing much planned, but who knows?Yesterday a stranger knocked on my door to deliver my long lost EE sim from over a week ago. She lives in the next village up, her address starts with the first three letters as mine so the agent just selected the first available one from a drop down list. Why it wasn't selected from my registered address beats me. Anyway, she was very kind to make enquiries about me, via FB it seems, and then make the journey to give it to me. Of course, the sim went straight into the bin as it was useless by now, but I really appreciated her efforts and she wasn't to know.I hope that everyone has a great Easter day, eggs or no eggs. When my late brother and I were young children my parents would hid eggs in the garden but inside a larger papier mache one. None of the now huge boxed eggs of now days, mostly little Lindt eggs with different fillings. Happy days.10

Morning all
Not a bad day at least it’s not raining they have said we will get some sun later so let’s hope they are right !
We are going out for a long walk today and having our roast tomorrow when we are due rain all day so makes sense to swap the days round,
We will take the dogs out for a good walk and stop at the pub on the way home for a drink, I’m not sure what dinner will be but we have plenty in.
Beds have been stripped this morning and the bedding is in the wm we will hang it on the line before going out hopefully they will dry a bit but they will smell nice anyway.
Have a lovely Easter Sunday all and enjoy your chocolate xxx9 -
Good morning all, Happy Easter
Thank you for the start WL
Looks dull out but not raining. Maybe have a walk later.
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.9 -
Good morning, I'm late this morning.
We are staying in dd and partners cottage in the Durham Dales, and very nice it is.
We are looking after the children and dog while they are away for the weekend, they're returning tomorrow.
It's brilliant sunshine here, a bit chilly though.
We'll go out later with the children, though I know there'll not be much on anywhere today.
We'll be going home tomorrow, back to normal.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.9 -
Happy Easter everyone
It's nice and sunny here again...two days running!
I've been down to sit with dad while mam went to church. He is still more tired than before he was in hospital and definitely more confused, but I took him outside to sit in the sunshine and he enjoyed that. DD and little one called in for little ones' Easter egg - she's very excited to go to London tomorrow.
We get the train just after 8 in the morning and arrive just before 12 - little one has never been on a train for longer than 45 minutes, but I've got plenty to hopefully keep her occupied. She has done long car journeys though. We're there until Thursday afternoon and have a busy itinerary - I'll be shattered on the way home again! She asked me this morning whether we'll see worms when we're on the tube...she seemed to think there was a tunnel through the soil for the train to run through! I'm really looking forward to seeing everything through her eyes.
Yesterday I took her to her swimming lesson and then we went to one of our parks in town for an Easter bunny hunt - the reward for finding the clues was a chocolate egg. Then we walked along by the river and caught the bus home again. DD picked her up in the afternoon and I sat out in the sun reading for an hour or so, it was lovely.
Well I'd better get on, I haven't packed yet.
Hope everyone has a good day x8 -

@dp1 - Don't know if you have your whole week planned in London. Where do you plan to go? I haven't been back since 2005 and so much has changed since then. One place I have always wanted to go was the Geffrye Museum - but it is now known as Museum of the Home. It is free and might be a place to take a little one: 136 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8EA, United Kingdom. It is free to get in. Tickets: free at museumofthehome.org.uk. I hope you have a good time and let know what you got to see. Enjoy yourself.4
