Back yard drainage

So we extended into a higher than ground level garden which meant we had to also build a retaining wall. Water now collects out the back and the aim is to somehow gather the water along base of retaining wall and have it drain towards front of house since there is a natural gradient flowing down a sloped driveway. Any suggestions what anyone else had used? I like idea of French drain along side of the house following gradient of drive but it’s getting the fall from the back corner of the yard to flow the water that way 🤔
