Wondering if anyone can give me some peace of mind as im losing sleep here!
My husband and I are first time buyers who have put down an offer on a house that pop up out of the blue but we love.
We've gone through a moneybox mortgage broker who matched us with Natwest.
Our situation
I am 2ish years into my Visa in the UK (I'll qualify for permanent residency in 2.5 years) and my husband is a UK citizen. We have a 6% deposit. Neither of us have any credit blips on our file (0 missed payments for either of us, no ccjs, ivas, etc) no credit card debt, we do have one personal loan (opened this 2 months ago), a car loan, and a couple of smaller loans (phone contracts) and the usual student loans but I've calculated our debt to income ratio at about 39%.
Our mortgage broker said We've had a DIP from Natwest and now its gone to the underwriting stage, and im just wondering if anything is going to come out of left field and decline us? Natwest is really the only lender who would accept us with my residency status/deposit so I would be gutted if we were decline.
How likely is it to be denied after a DIP if theres nothing adverse on the credit file??
Any reassurance would be very grateful.

Assuming your bank accounts are run ok (ie not bouncing Direct debits for example), you should be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
