1960's breeze block and rendered bungalow, want to buy...has anyone had any experience

On the lookout for a property.  Large garden, seen one that's ideal, but the construction is Breeze block exterior walls and rendered.  Anyone any experience.  We don't need a mortgage, but bells are ringing.  We are 70 years old.
