I’m sure one of you clever people will have the answer to this
we are in discussions with a company about their mpv / people carrier vehicles and they are telling me that conference seating ie knee to knee instead of front facing, common is private hire licensing is managed at local council level who decide which vehicle can take which configuration. Is this correct

I would ask your local council taxi/private hire licensing dept. As not all councils will be equal on the rules.Life in the slow lane1

Asking as generalisation as it’s nationwide and it’s being quoted at me that way0

It will be up to Council policy.
This is a devolved issue to District level.
Many will allow it as long as there is a factory configured bracket, I can think of at least one that will allow modifications with IVA and at least one that would not allow this at all.💙💛 💔0
