Morning All
Damp and uninteresting this morning but that doesn't dampen my mood - we finish today for the holidays! I feel like I've crawled to the end of term but we've got there. I'm going to keep my head down today and tidy up some loose ends. We just need all the children to be collected at 2.30 and not the usual 3pm!
Good to hear from you Coxy, well done to your DD for getting a permanent job. Hope your DH finds something soon. How is your Dad getting on?
I met up with some very good friends last night and our friend's DD came along (the one who died recently). I was very nervous to see her but we had a good laugh and a few tears. She brought us all a pair of her Mum's earrings with a stiff warning that they had to be worn and not put in a drawer! We had chosen the ones we would like - I'll definitely be wearing mine.
Hope everyone is well and you all have a good day. Take care. XX11 -
Now back, and having just lost a post yet again, I'm gnashing my
teeth. I know why it happens though.
I'm definitely going to go back to posting on my lap top.
I haven't time to post it all again because I need to be out early, so I'll just say hope everyone has a good Thursday.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning Everyone and thank for starting us off Scarlett
It's a wet/damp morning here, but looks like it will brighten up.
Hope everyone has a lovely Easter. x10 -
Morning folks. Bah another wet and dismal start here. Yesterday, surprise surprise, we actually saw a bit of sunshine before the rain appeared at tea-time.
We had our usual good bus trip out and a few more stalls had braved the elements and set up shop. It was quiet and not many people seemed to be buying but, hopefully, the Easter day trippers will be in a spending mood.. They just need a bit of nice browsing weather.
Today's plans involve the usual Thursday good clean of the kitchen and bathroom but who knows what delights may follow. If it's par for the course that will be the extent of my excitement!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Nice to hear from you again COXY and fingers crossed your DH finds something soon. RUBY I hope you got some help from your GP as regards your sleeping (or lack of it) I share your pain as early waking seems to be the norm for me these days. Take care one and all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Hi everyone,
I had a surprising day yesterday. I had a phone call from the hospital to arrange a CT scan which is happening tomorrow. Then I got an email to arrange an endoscopy, happening this afternoon so things are going full speed ahead. It seems to cut out the part where you see a Dr and they send you away to have the tests before they can do anything.
Anyway, before the appointment we have to get Laura and the children to the airport to fly to Glasgow.
Have a good day.11 -
Good morning all. My EE router has no network so I'm on my very slow BT one, it's such a difference. The weather in Glasgow yesterday was awful, so cold and wet. My appointment went well, eyes have improved since last year but I'm still able to use up my stock of contact lenses. I ordered two pairs of glasses, heavily discounted, to use in the house - one for TV watching and one for the car. I did a little shopping and was home by 3.30p.m.Today is my pool session, my bag is packed and ready. After that, who knows!Lovely to see some of our MIA friends back posting, we do miss you.@Ruby - sorry that you are still not sleeping well, fingers crossed that the GP can help a bit more.@Taff - no need to apologise! Weightlifting won't help with my dodgy hip, my muscles are mostly strong enough it's the other stuff which is a problem. It's much colder here than last week, back to woolly tights and three jumpers.9

Morning all
Dry here for now but rain due mid morning and for the rest of the day I’m so glad we got that extra load of logs it’s so chilly in the evenings.
The Dr phoned me back yesterday and agreed to give me two weeks worth of sleeping pills, he said I can phone for more if I need them, I took one last night and slept blissfully 😃 I got up once for the loo but otherwise slept all night I can’t tell you how much better I already feel !
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work we are in the cafe today which is always enjoyable especially now I can go home when I want to 😂
Not sure about dinner tonight might do something quick with chips DD is working late so just the two of us for dinner.
Coxy nice to see you posting xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning all. Bright and sunny here at the moment.
TA; your house must be sparkling and much cleaner than mine!
Snoozer: so pleased the medical appointments are starting to come your way. It must help the Consultant make an informed decision about treatment if they have all the info in front of them.
Camelot: hooray for the end of term and an early finish.
Today I'm off down to St Albans to test drive a car with a view to part exchanging my current one. Whilst we're there we've arranged to have a cup of tea and a catch up with some friends we haven't seen for a few years. They both have mobility problems nowadays so don't get out to events like they used to.
Hope everyone's day goes well.

Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarletribbons
Sunny but just had a sudden shower of rain.
I've been trying to get a gardener for ages and he phoned yesterday. Can only manage an hour today but it's a start and has cheered me up. Garden looks such a mess, so much to do, totally neglected last year, I don't know where to start.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.8 -
Morning everyone
Camelot - I'm another happy that it's the last day of term. No early finish for us though. When I told little one we don't go to school on Friday this week she was quite disappointed - oh to be five! She's with me all day tomorrow as DD is going out with her friend - she claimed she didn't know school was closed - not that I mind, little one is excellent company.
The church service yesterday morning was lovely though the children got quite wet walking over to the church, mam and I got a taxi there and back. Afterwards I managed to get some tidying and a few jobs done, things that have been waiting for me to have time.
It's fine here at the moment but forecast to rain later, just for a change. Yesterday was weird, rain and thick fog until lunchtime, then out came the sun for a few hours, then it went dark and back to pouring rain!
I'm hoping it's better when we're in London next week - little one is very excited and counting the sleeps.
Better get on, I hope everyone has a good day today x8
