Terms and Conditions 

 

• Important Disqualification Note: To maintain the integrity and manageability of the Giveaway, we must enforce that no inquiries or communications regarding the Giveaway be made through phone calls to our office or sales team. Entries associated with participants attempting to contact us by phone for Giveaway inquiries will be automatically disqualified.
  
  

• Eligibility: The competition is warmly open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. In our commitment to ensure the prize is genuinely cost-free and accessible for the winner, we particularly welcome participants who hold passports from countries with straightforward access to multiple international jurisdictions, such as but not limited to most European Union countries, the United States, and other nations known for their minimal visa requirements. This approach helps us navigate the complex landscape of international travel with ease. However, it's important to note that individuals directly associated with Villa Vie Residences, including employees, their immediate family members, and anyone involved in any capacity with the organization of the competition, are not eligible to participate. Entrants must also comply with all other conditions set forth in this document as well as with applicable laws. We strive to make our competition as inclusive as possible, ensuring participants from across the globe can join us without the worry of incurring additional travel costs or navigating intricate visa processes. 

 

• Entry Period: Entries will be accepted from Feb 12 2024 at 12 PM EST until 1st April at 12 AM EST. 

 

• How to Enter: No purchase necessary to enter or win. Entrants must complete the entry form available at /giveaway and agree to the terms and conditions of the competition.
     

• Existing Customers: VVRI customers with existing and signed contracts as of 02/13/2024 are eligible to win, however, they must nominate a friend, family member or other person of their choice to be the recipient in their stead.
  

 

• Prize: Three (3) winners will receive a six-month residence aboard the Villa Vie Residences ship. The prize includes all-inclusive accommodation but excludes personal expenses, travel insurance, and any other expenses not explicitly included in the prize description. The winner is responsible for all necessary travel documents, including passports and visas. 

 

• Selection of Winner: The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received. The draw will take place on 1st April 2024, 11:59PM, and the winners will be notified by email within seven (7) days of the draw. 

 

• General Conditions: Participation in the competition constitutes the entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions and to Villa Vie Residences' decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the competition. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. 

 

• Release: By receipt of any prize, the winner agrees to release and hold harmless Villa Vie Residences and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the competition or receipt, use, or misuse of any prize. 

 

• Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the competition constitutes the winner's consent to Villa Vie Residences' and its agents' use of the winner's name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration. 

 

• Data Protection: Personal information collected from entrants will be used by Villa Vie Residences for the purpose of administering the competition and for marketing purposes, in accordance with Villa Vie Residences' privacy policy. 

 

• Law and Jurisdiction: The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located in Delaware.

confusing entry dates-  05/01/24 is the US way of saying 1st of May. the T&C say 1st April, the gleam widget has 34 days left which is in accordance with the comp blurb, 1st May

Yes, indeed ...maybe I should go with the Gleam countdown and list end date as May 1st? What do you think @Scorpioangel ??

@CloWithTheFlow23 It is always safest to go with the earliest closing date when there is confusion. If you use the later date and then it ends earlier, it would mean that end date compers would miss it completely.
If you use the earlier date, if it does not end at that date, you can always edit and amend it to the later date.

But why have you put 29/03? If it ends early on 1st April, surely it would be best to use 31/03.

Yes agree, best to go with earliest end date where there's uncertainty.

However, I do think that the Gleam countdown is probably the most reliable guide in this case...

As to why I went with 29/03? I really couldn't tell you as it makes no sense whatsoever! Tired brain fog when posting late at night probably. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll edit to 31/03 for now and let's see if it ends on 1st April or no.
