Good morning folks.
Yes, it's unfeasibly early for me to be actually dressed, I'm about to head down the road to Glasgow for an optician's appointment this morning. It's a combined eye test and contact lense check so takes a bit longer. No doubt I'll need new something or other.
I hope that everyone is doing well.

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Raining as usual here.
I've just lost a post - I think I'll go back to using my laptop for posting, this tablet is a pain at times.
Hope your trip to the opticians isn't too expensive Gers.
Hoping everyone has a good day, thinking of anyone who is poorly or sad.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Safe journey down and back. It's a grey start yet again here but, as yet, not raining! I'm sure it will happen at some point.
Yesterday didn't go to plan. Once again DF's pain in the neck DH scuppered our lunch meet. It's funny how he always manages to have one of his "do's" on one of the rare occasions when she is due to go out and then she worries about leaving him. Yet he never has one when he is meeting one of his buddies! Rant over!
It's bus trip day today and, as usual, we will probably end up in Skipton. Bus buddy and I have promised ourselves that once the weather picks up we will venture elsewhere! As long as our day involves a wine 'n' dine lunch, with much chatting, I'm not really fussed where we go.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. (I agree GERS our numbers seem to be dwindling again) Take care all and stay safe xx

Sorry for not posting
I’m in a lot of pain .walking v badly and completely fed up !
But I have had a pre op and hopefully will have a new hip by the end of June ,although the hospital has said that if they miss that target then they just update the pre op by phone !
seems to make a mockery of the whole system .
I do read daily
Thank you all9 -
Morning all. Bright and sunny today but last night it was pouring with rain and I stepped in a deep puddle in an unlit car park so had to drive home with wet shoes and socks!
Last minute call yesterday evening as DD hadn't been able to do anything all day and DGS needed an Easter bonnet for last day of term on Thursday. Luckily I had a few bits in the drawer and manged to buy a few butterflies and Easter chicks as Hobbycraft was still open so DH is taking his glue gun over with him this morning to see what he can make. He's actually quite good at jobs like that, especially as they involve sitting down
I shall be off to my morning at the Larder soon but have said I'll need to leave at 12pm to go and help DD. I hope she's feeling a bit better this morning but get the feeling this costochondritis might take a while to improve.
@snoozer: which savoury flapjack recipe do you use please as I'm thinking of making some for the grandchildren and have seen several different ones online? I just want something easy and reliable.
Sunny wishes for a good day everyone.

Morning everyone
It's awful here - pouring with rain.
I'm up and dressed early - for me - as I have to go down to do dads' meds this morning and then mam and I will get a taxi down to little ones' Easter church service.
We're taking turns doing dads' meds, but it's proving a bit difficult with everyone working too. My mam's struggling with the idea that she needs more help, she's already cancelled the lunchtime carer popping in, against everyones' advice including the carers. Just hoping everything settles down soon - and really looking forward to my trip to London next week with DD and little one. My sister in law will be chief medicine giver for those few days.
I need to go to Poundland for a few bits later and pick little one up from school at 10 past 3. It's our last day at school tomorrow - it seems to have come around very quickly, we've only been back 4 weeks.
Better get moving - hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning all! It's sunny again but still cold [ sorry! but then, it did rain yesterday afternoon and all night] luckily after I potted on my big pots]. Rhod gilbert was fantastic, it was all about cancer but he made it a show of laughs and also some visceral pathos. There were also people collecting there for Velindre. I only found out the last time I saw my heart blokey that he has to pay for his own training because their budget for training is either used for other things or gone. I did tell him if I won the lottery they could expect a large cash injection. [he explained it better than I did just there] Today I'm attempting my first marzipaning of a cake [ my sisters] ready for tomorrow..Sue, finger crossed for cancellations and a rapid op for you! TA, I'd tell her to keep a diary of when it happens, just to see if there is a pattern Gers, safe journey! I wasn't trying to insinuate you don't do enough excercise by the way, in case it came across like that...Scarlet, is there a 'save draft' button on your screen? I'm always pressing mine because i forget and leave the page, or shut the page and if you save it, it pops back up snoozer, hope today isn't frantci in advance of the peace! Izzy, glad you're finidng it a happy change WL, love a bit of mcgyvering! dp1, can you not point out to her it's not about making less work for her, it's about helping him and by cancelling, she's making things worse for him? In a nice way of course...Fingers crossed for no rain for you all today or a stopping of and not starting of it! Take care all....Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...7

Morning all
We actually have some sun here today 😳 but more rain due from 10 this morning and for the rest of the day ! I have cancelled Rob today as I am still not sleeping I was still awake at 3 this morning it’s getting ridiculous now, I found myself getting irritable with the guys yesterday which is not like me at all, I have phoned the Dr today and am waiting for a call back hopefully he can give me a course of sleeping pills to re-set my sleeping pattern.
Once the Dr has called I will go and get the shopping and some bits for mum and drop them off for her, I will then have a rest this afternoon but try not to snooze as I’m desperate for a sleep tonight.
Dinner will be chilli and rice will make it this morning and just reheat later.
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Morning all, thanks Gers,- your optician trip could be pricy! We need to make appointments too.SSue, nice to see you post, hope they don't miss the target.WL, I hope a great Easter bonnet awaits DGSRoll on the end of your term dp1, and a nice break for you next week.Taff, glad you enjoyed the show.Scarlet- hope it dries up soon, not actually raining here this morning.Shame about your catch up with BF, TA but enjoy your lunch today.RR, I'm in the same boat re sleep, my under eye bags have bags! The full fibre was installed with no probs yesterday and seems to be working well. DH needs to ring VM to cancel now.We all went watching the U21s England play last night, it was hectic, lots of children. Our usual stadium, although we had to get tickets in the upper stand, I quite enjoyed the view from up there. DH struggled with all the steps though, so thought we'd try a lift going down. It went all the way down and we made to get out but we seemed to be in a basement, hopped back in & back up a floor, no that was the exhibition centre. In the end we went right back to where we came from and escaped down the stairs. I don't think it was meant for visitors- more of a service lift, but we had a good laugh, the dgc were in hysterics every time we reached another strange destinationWe took DGS to school this morning, he reminded us it was like the days when he was 5 and they stayed with us as DS2 was living with us when he was doing his house up, and I used to tell him stories on the journey. Happy Days !Not much MS in this post, sorry, apart from saving over £50 on cancelling VM. I did take some chicken out ready to cook later, & I need to use up veg past it's bestHave a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone it’s pouring down here sick of the sight of it but in ms news I’ve managed to get 2 large chickens out of Lidl for 3 pounds each and a pack of 8 sausages for 80p all rammed in the freezer now . Slow cooker is on ready for tonight I’ve got shin beef and veg in I might be tempted to drop a couple of dumplings in I will never be good it’s just to hard . Taff pleased you had a good night he’s one of my favourites along with Lee Mack . Shame about your catch up TA my hubby has always been the same I still don’t tell him I’m going anywhere until the last minute because I can’t stand either the silence or the illness but the difference is I take absolutely no notice of him and go and do whatever I want but life would be easier without the fuss I call him a big baby . Sue I hope you get a cancellation it’s hard being in pain all the time. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing6
