Okay so I know it’s my fault completely. However I’ve had a late payment go onto my credit file and I’ve exchanged contracts for a mortgage? What do I do? Will they withdraw it?

I think you'll be absolutely fine.  A single late payment isn't grounds to withdraw a mortgage.  There's nothing to worry about.
