Morning All
Yesterday's sunshine has gone, back to grey skies and the threat of rain later. Washing was all dry yesterday when I got home, just needed a quick airing and most has been put away. I need to iron the new bedding and that can go on, the room will look a lot better for it too.
Lovely day out yesterday, I was swimming for an hour, lunch out and then a visit to friends with their gorgeous new baby, didn't get home until 6.
Only 4 days at work this week then it's the holidays, hope there's lots to do so I'll be busy and the days will go quickly. Meeting a past colleague after school today for a coffee.
Hope everyone is well, happy Monday! Take care. XX9 -
Back...the morning is grey and chilly. Yesterday was gloriously blue and bright yet very cold. I started out to go shopping, decided that I didn't need to so detoured to a little cafe, bought a bacon roll and came back home. This morning I'm going to my exercise class and may go shopping after it, not sure how I'll feel after it. I'm getting more whimsical than ever before, it's most odd but I enjoy it.My nephew and family arrived safely in Oz, picked up the hire car and then drove over two hours up the coast to his brother's place. On the Dubai to Brisbane leg the airplane was fairly empty so were able to have a row of seats each and stretch out to sleep. Today they're all off to Fraser Island for three days, four adults and six children! I imagine some chaos.Take care everyone. Hugs to poorlies.10

Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here and more rain due this afternoon, I have Rob coming today and I think we will get the dogs out this morning and then have an afternoon watching a film or making a cake.
Dinner tonight will be pork chops with mash and veg, dd is back at work today and is on lates so just OH and I here for dinner, I will do the potatoes and veg this morning so I just have to cook it later.
I have put a wash on this morning but it will have to go on the airer, I need to hoover through and have a tidy, a person from the scheme is coming for a meeting with one of my clients tomorrow so I need to make sure it’s clean and tidy.
I am very much looking forward to the long Easter weekend it will be nice to have four days off.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. It sounds like we are all having similar weather just now. Yesterday was glorious with the sun shining all day. Back to grey and imminent rain today.
I should have stripped my bed yesterday and got it pegged out whilst it was nice but I stupidly left it until today! It's currently washing away and will then festoon the back bedroom. I have yet to remake the bed, I am psyching myself up for that job next!
No cooking today, I have an assortment of veg and a portion of cottage pie left from yesterday so will warm that up for my lunch. I made a big pan of cottage pie base so that's now in the freezer in individual portions.. I used the second pack of the compressed ff steak mince that I couldn't get to grips with the first time and I coped much better yesterday for some reason.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. And our MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start Gers
Sunny here so wm doing its thing, hopefully can get everything line dried.
Went to Bereavement café, still finding it overwhelming, but everyone kind and understanding.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Morning all. Dull and rainy here.
DS and his gf drove up in lovely sunshine for our pub lunch yesterday but now it's forecast rain all week.
Today DH is out to lunch so I've taken a portion of sausage casserole out of the freezer for me to have later.
The nearside running light on my car went last night so I might pop up to Halfords and see if they'll change it for me. The warning light gave me a fright when it came on but then it said it was the light bulb so I needn't have worried so much.
Lots of ironing to do now plus the cake/biscuit tin is empty so might do some cooking.
Happy Monday everyone.8 -
Morning all
Dull and forecast to rain later, but at least the awful wind we had all weekend has died down.
It's my youngest DDs 25th birthday today, makes me feel quite old! Little one of course is very excited about it!
She's working today so we went out for tea last night and then she's going out with a friend on Friday.
Little one arrived in my bed about 7.30 yesterday morning, we had a lovely chat. Went down to mam and dads and I showed my niece how to do dads meds - we now have a rota for the next 2 weeks - me, DD, sister in law and niece. He's enjoying all the attention!
Had a lovely afternoon with little one doing Easter crafts - she made cards, a mosaic of an Easter bunny and then we decorated eggs.
Today I have work at lunch time, then I'll collect her from her classroom door and stay with her for a short while until DD gets home.
Silver oldie - I'm pleased you made it to your bereavement group, it will get easier with each session I hope.
Bliss - I could apply again, but the letter from the tribunal has thrown me, to be honest. I have applied for a work capability assessment for my universal credit, so will wait until I have that assessment before I decide about PIP. Thanks for everyones good wishes though x
Right I'd better get on and do some jobs.
Hope everyone has a good day today x9 -
Morning from Mehefinland
I haven't left the district - honest. Got sciatica and a groin strain in the same leg and don't know where to put myself lol. Horse strength pain killers are not doing much to help either.
Mrs M's last working day- just toddled off to return her laptop and security passes. VR kicks in from Friday but they want to clear site asap. Going to be strange having her around all the time. No doubt she will find me jobs to do
On going issue with Scooby's feet - 3rd attempt today at getting a shoe on, and more importantly to stay on. Got some fancy glue on things at the moment, but it's a black art getting them right!!
Our CO monitor died last night so that needs replacement asap. The current one has saved my life twice so we won't go without one.
Got to fly
Hugs and spoons as always

Afternoon all! I got sucked into the rabbit hole fo cooking this morning, so I've just made salsicce and fagioli - that's plain old sausage and beans, this is just for me, OH hates beans, for the coming week [ I did cook the beans yesterday] but made it very faffy for myself by doing a lot of extras. Other than that, not a lot done today, I'm waiting for the clothes to dry on the line [ they might! hope srpings eternal!] We're off to see rhod Gilbert tomorrow night, I am looking forward ot that. Other than that and wandering round the house pretending to tidy, not a lot is going on.SO, very well done for facing the fear! As Izzy says, it will get easier, and it might help more than you know. mehefin, oops, let's hope it goes, are you doing all your torture stretching excercises? Ruby, fingers crossed for a smooth meeting tomorrow! Gers, that's good to hear dp1, not even going to say in polite company exactly wht I think of them...I know these are indivisuals but where do they find these people? And don't even get me started on the whole, but there are people who are committing fraud...the by far greater majority of them committing fraud are in governemnt already...and rant over...good luck with next application! Izzy, nice to see you enjoying yourself in a relaxed manner [?!] Take care all...don't cast your clout yet....Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...8
