Filling in NHS pension form question

Hi, im looking for a bit of help on filling my NHS pension AW8 form.

My situation is that I currently work for the NHS and have decided to retire and take my 1995 section pension early in August of this year my estimate is £32K. I am doing retire and return but I don’t think that fact affects this question. I also have some 2015 pension benefits, which I will continue to pay into when I return.

As well as my NHS pensions I have a private pension from previous employment. It is an Aviva fund and contains roughly £70k. I need to take the 25% tax free cash out of this in the next 2 months to fund a project.

I am currently filling in my NHS pension form and have come to the series of questions in section 11.  So to clarify between now and when I retire I will have accessed my 25% lump from my aviva scheme.

Im unsure how to answer the 11 series of questions  . I spoke to my pension officer at work but it soon became clear that they didn’t really understand my question. It is critical that I don’t get the LTA charge as per question 11.5. as I will also need my full NHS lump sum when it arrives.

I have filled in the form as I think…but I can see a trap, the form asks about today….but by the time they are paying me I will have taken other pension benefits ??

Any help appreciated on the answers to these questions for my situation.

I know things have changed since I did this but I think the LTA in the 1995 is calculated as 20 x pension + lump sum - so presumably 736K - add the 70K and you won't reach the LTA 

I do remember financial adviser telling OH that it was easier to get the paperwork for the NHS pension done first and then get the money out of the AVCs etc (which is what you are doing)
