Now back - Gers, yes, if it wasn't for the long journey and the hanging about in airports ( plus the cost of fares which have risen so much) we would go to Oz more often. Hey ho.
Allie, enjoy your van, and enjoy your trip to SW Scotland it's lovely. We've had so many holidays there, though it s not that far for us.
Glad to hear from you Nanny, sorry to read that you've had problems, Hope you're feeling better.
We were going to go out for a walk yesterday, but I had nipped to the shops and realised how strong the wind was - it would have been no pleasure walking, so we didn't go.
I think it's calmed down a bit this morning.
Sorry to see that you didn't get your PIP Dp1.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. My nephew and family are now on the 14 hour leg to Brisbane after a two hour wait in Dubai and trekking through it to change gates. At least it wasn't changing terminals anymore.Last night was so calm and quiet, such a contrast to the last week. And the moon was so bright. Now the morning looks so lovely although it's still cold. Yesterday the weather got worse throughout the day so I wasn't tempted outside. I'd like to cut the grass but it's so soggy, it'd be churned if I tried.
I'm glad I'm not alone in not liking big fluffy towels. 😀
Good to hear from poorlies, all we need now are some of our missing.12 -
Morning folks. It's a much better day than yesterday thankfully. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and that nithering wind has dropped.
DGD is still in the land of nod and will probably remain so for a while yet so I am pottering quietly. Breakfast is ready to go when she appears but I have already eaten as I can't wait so long. I have no plans for the day so she can stay here as long as she wants.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care NAN don't try to do too much too soon. Sorry your appeal for PIP was turned down Dp1. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning All
The sun is shining! What a glorious morning. One load of washing is out and another about to finish, I bought new bedding for the new bed yesterday so it's all had a quick wash and hopefully will be dry later.
I'm going for a swim with DD this morning then we are going with the little one to visit friends and their new baby, will have to get lunch on the way.
Productive day yesterday, allotment visited and some sorting out in the greenhouse. Also managed to shift one of the huge bags of coal (after I had emptied some into the buckets), the coalman left the sacks at the back gate as I had forgotten to open the gates before I left for work. I was a bit annoyed as it's not a difficult gate to open, I only open it as he never closes it and it bangs in the wind.
Sorry you didn't get your PIP dp1.
Slow down Nanny!
I too would like to cut the grass Gers but you're right, it's too wet.
Maybe manage a walk today Scarlet?
Shopping to do before I go to the pool so had better get on.
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX12 -
Morning everyone well the sun is shining but it’s still a bit to chilly to do much outside I need some painting and pressure washing doing and some pots to tidy up and sort it’s been on the news it’s 4 years since lockdown weren’t we all sat in the garden . I’ve got a small beef joint to cook we will have later with veg and Yorkshire pudding my friend is coming this morning to take the old thermostat for the heating off the wall and put me a new wireless one in . My son is coming up to sort out dates and tickets for us all to go to Kynren it’s a big outdoor show near to us it’s brilliant and getting better every year we went the first two years but haven’t been since and they now have a Viking village if anyone want to Google it or have a look on you tube it’s in Bishop Auckland and was on one of Robson Greens shows . Morning all, nice and sunny, still a cool breeze though I don't think it'll be quite as bad this morning watching DGD play football as it was DGS- I had to hold onto a fence at 1 point, nearly knocked me off my feet.A bit of shopping afterwards, then DH did a bit of an alteration in the afternoon. All the boxes for internet etc are boxed in behind the telly & it's a bit awkward to get to, so seeing as early next week we are having full fibre BBand installed and they have to come out anyway he's cut some wood from the bottom to make it easier to slide them out.I had an early night as I was nodding off watching tv but that meant I was awake at 5am.I've taken a pork joint out for later.Sorry about the tribunal dp1Hope you all enjoy the day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning! it's a bit of sunny and cloudy so far today, I'm going to brave the washing line in a bit. No other plans for today, Apart from garden stuff if I can get my behind in gear. I should move my propagator too, three lots of tomatoes have sprouted after only five days [ a record!] and will be needing more light. Other than that, lazy day, and your guess is as good as mine as to what dinner is. Or breakfast...nanny, hugs..dp1, same to you. Izzy, now I want roast beef too! sounds like fun, I'll google in a bit. camelot, enjoy the swim...brrrr! take care all, hope you get some sunshine soon!Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...9

Morning all.
Nice and sunny here, which makes a change. Yesterday we had mini hail stones before lunch!
Just coming to after a late night and then we are meeting the children and other halves for a pub Sunday lunch, followed by coffee and catch up back at ours. DS has sent photos of himself at the Quins v Saracens match yesterday, where Saracens got a drubbing. I watched on tv but didn't know he was there.
Later on I'll be picking up a friend to drive to an evening music session; always an enjoyable one.
Hope the sun is shining for everyone and have a great Sunday.9 -

Dry here for now with quite a good breeze a good drying day before more rain due later, yesterday went very cold and we had huge hail stones at one point 😳
We have the log man coming this morning it’s still chilly in the evenings so we are lighting the fire once the suns gone down, it will be good to have a stock in for the autumn as well.
DD was out last night and stayed over with her friend so I expect we will see her at some point today slightly worse for wear !
Dinner today will be pork belly in bao buns I will make up a sauce to cook them in, mums going to my sisters today for lunch so we will have her next week.
Have good days all and take care xx7
