Octopus - combining Tracker with Outgoing Fixed (15p)

According to Octopus - whose customer service people don't seem to have a clue when it comes to anything remotely related to energy from solar panels - it's not possible to be on the Tracker tariff as well as Octopus Outgoing Fixed.

This clearly states otherwise:

Anyone else having trouble with these clowns, who seem to take months to achieve anything, and even then it's only going round in ever-decreasing circles!

To be fair to Octopus is is probably the CS staff they inherited from Shell who are not up to speed. I'm sure they'll eventually be OK, once they've been reprogrammed.

But yes, you can mix Outgoing Fixed with various tariffs.

Yes, I'm on tracker for import and fixed outgoing for export. Try email or X if you are having no joy phoning.

Can confirm we were on Tracker for import and Fixed for export, have switched to Agile for import and still got Fixed export.

I'd phone again and hope you get a different agent.

Thank guys - as I thought. The staggering thing about this is that they seem utterly incapable of sorting out switches to Outgoing Fixed from other companies, even though the supply has been with Octopus for months. It's been going on for months now and they still haven't managed to put it properly in place.

Excuse after excuse, but the real issue seems to be that the team responsible are clueless as to what needs to be done.  This latest stuff about it not being possible with Tracker is just the latest nonsense.
