Coming back from Glasgow yesterday morning was rather slow and dreary. The heavy rain and wind were scary especially over the high points so I was glad to make it home safely. My cleaner had been in so it was lovely to come home to a spicy and span place. In the afternoon I spent over an hour on the phone to BT sorting out a new contract, there wasn't any problem but going through all the options and then reading out all the T&Cs took ages. Then had to go through the same process for my mobile contract which has now moved from BT to EE. Finally I had a technical problem which the IT department had to sort out, that took longer than expected.Today I have no plans apart from the usual phone call from Australia first thing. I need to do some anti-moth spraying as I saw the first of the season last night.I hope that everyone is doing well.10

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers, glad you enjoyed your meal, it sounded very nice.
Yesterday was wet and windy, cold as well, but this morning the sun is shining. I'll get some towels on the line I think.
Taff, micro suction is not so bad, it's better than ear irrigation which makes me very dizzy. Micro is noisy though.
Ruby, Hope your meeting about Rob went well.
Hope your dad is all right Dp1.
Enjoy your pamper Snoozer, you deserve it.
Nowt in particular going on today, just the usual stuff.
Hope everyone has a good dsy, thinking of our poorlies.
Take care folks.

Morning! I think it's almost time to gather up the boots and shoes and swap them for the summer ones..I''ve just had a moment of thinking what a dirty sod I am though, they all need cleaning before that happens. More stuff planted out yesterday, the angelica went in the front garden, hopefully barring accidents, it flowers and I get free seeds. I came back from the tp run with what me sister calls treasure. 3 vision saucepans/casserole pans with lids [made in france], a bit grubby, but scrubbed up well. More kitchenalia for me....Maybe I should open a shop. I found a fruit press the other day in a charity shop but that one, I will be sellling on again. I might give cheese a try though first.Gers shame about the weather, it always feels like everywhere should be the same up and down the country so we all suffer or rejoice together. Scarlet, glad you had suction then Allie, enjoy being peripatetic..is your campervan a little one or a humungous one? Take care all, hope you're all doing better than ok [or at least ok], I salute you for making it through another dayShampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope your grim weather moves on soon.
It's to be another half hearted Friday Tidy today with a quick dust and vac upstairs and downstairs. Then I might pop down into town while it's nice as there are odd bits I need and the forecast tomorrow isn't too clever. The kitchen and bathroom got done yesterday to ease the burden.
I finally made a start on clothes clearing this week. New tactics this time! Instead of an on mass clear out and the next day putting most of it back, I am taking out just a couple of items each day and so far I have avoided the urge to ransack the cs bags and put most of it back!
How far up north are you heading AA? If I see you pass my way I will give you a wave! Have a safe journey. Have a good day all if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad, lonely and the little list of MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Hi everyone,
Laura is just about to leave for sing and sign with Esther, Esben is at nursery and the men are golfing so for the next couple of hours I shall have peace again, luxury. I was going to go to the shops but I think I shall stay here and take advantage of the quiet.
I want to get some supplies to repot some house plants, I am very proud of the fact that most of them have survived my ministrations but some have outgrown their pots and need watering very frequently. The garden also needs attention but it's raining, Steve gave the grass its first cut this week so at least the lawns are tidy. The council are starting to charge for garden waste collection and we could easily do without it but we have decided to pay because we often say that we'd rather pay a bit more in tax and retain services so we're putting our money where our mouths are. Lots of people are moaning about it on Facebook but they are also the people who moan if they can't access carers etc because of cuts. Sorry, rant over, I know we are very fortunate to be able to pay the extra but I am sure there are plenty of people like us who won't.
Ok, I'm going because I want to do a bit of sewing before Esther returns
.Have a good day.11 -
Morning all
Its a bit overcast here and rain due this afternoon I have a wash on the go but it will have to be hung indoors in front of the fire it dries overnight that way.
The meeting went well yesterday although typically nothing much was decided his mum had trouble talking as there was such interference when she did, she also had her tv on really loud so we had trouble hearing her, the upshot is that he behaves when he is out with me and plays up at home because he is bored they asked me to give mum some tips for entertaining him but as I said I am more than happy to but most of the things I do with Rob are physical and his mum is too old and frail to do most things now. We have to report back his sleep pattern for a month and go from there.
I have to take little pup for her teeth cleaning today week two of six it is working already her teeth look better and her breath is fresher.
The chicken parmigiana has been moved to tonight as we had pasta Alfredo last night which was delicious.
Have good days all and take care xx9
