I see lots of these on ebay and references on this site but what is an e-book?

Its just a book in a digital format - 'Electronic' book. Supposed to be small and portable, easy to distribute, cheaper, etc etc etc

Mostly distributed as Adobe PDF, occasionally as .doc word documents, and less often as some other proprietary format.

If you've seen them on ebay they are most likely pirate copies so don't buy them there.

Thanks will give e-bay books a miss then. Now I'm catching up with times I can have a conversation with my 8 year old about e books.
