Good morning again, it's a grey start, not raining though ( yet)
Glad cars got through Mot's, it's such a relief. Our car is quite old, but usually reliable, it's serviced every year. It's a big workhorse of a car, though if it wasn't for the caravan we would have a smaller car.
Camelot, your trip to Ikea sounds good, it's nice to see behind the scenes.
Alnwick Garden - the cherry blossom is not out yet, but it's worth watching their live webcam, blossom cam I think it's called, then you know when to go. It's easily accessed. We usually go to see it, I always think it's quite bridal somehow.
The new children's bit opened last summer I think.
Izzy your recipe sounds tasty, hope you enjoyed it.
I was trying on summer clothes last night ( hope springs eternal)
I have far too many, considering what our weather is like. I find it hard to get rid of things though, don't know what everyone is like with this.
I'm taking shopping to 2 elderly friends this morning and will stay for a chat, then early this evening I've got an Audiology appointment for microsuction.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to our poorly people.
Take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet and for the info on Alnwick, I'll watch the cameras!
Wet and blustery this morning, spring has left us again!
Washing in the machine, will hang it up on the pulley when it's finished.
After work yesterday I went to the post office to send off the bolts for the bed DS1 forgot and then came home and did very little. I seem to have been out every night after school for the past few weeks, it was nice to have a long warm bath and relax. I'm off out for my dinner later with a friend - we always meet up between our birthdays (and at other times too).
Hope the poorlies are on the mend and everyone is as well as they can be.
Take care. XX8 -
Morning all, thanks for starting us off Scarlet. And thanks for telling us about the live webcam from Alnwick Castle, I'll take a gander later. My evening in Glasgow was extremely successful. I had the best meal out for a very long time. We both plumped for lambs liver with mustard mash and veggies. And onion rings (my favourite). And chips. Everything was so well cooked and tasty. Then we had a pudding each. No small plates either. I was stuffed and very happy. The talk was so interesting too. This morning I'll head home after a wee detour to a CS to drop off a couple of things. After that, nothing is planned. 😀
I hope that everyone keeps well.11 -
Morning, hope everyone is well.Has anyone been watching “Coma” on Channel 5?Jason Watkins is a good actor but I think that the programme is slightly ruined by the poor acting of the young lads father! Also the young lad himself really gives me the creeps!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £43,915.989

Morning everyone. Just watching one of my favourite shows on Netflix before work. Work should be ok plus I’m cooking an aubergine dish for dinner and I love aubergine so I’ve got that to look forward to. Other than that it’s a quiet day for me. I want to go and try the new Chinese dumpling restaurant on the way home from work but that will have to wait until pay day!
Have a great day 😊11 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. After a few mild starts I feel a bit chilly this morning so have put the heating on for a brief spell and the sky looks none too promising either. We are forecast gusty winds over the w/e. I hate wind more than rain!
I had a lovely meal out with DF yesterday. Much enjoyed by us both, followed by lots of chatting as usual. They have made such a lovely job of restoring the interior of the old building and have built up a good reputation for their food already.
I have the excitement of some cleaning to do today when I can put my mind to it! Have a lovely day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all
Dry and bright here again it’s so lovely to see some sun, yesterday got up to 16deg in the afternoon today promises the same but back to rain tomorrow.
Off to collect Rob and take him to work we are in the cafe today so some kind of baking will be done, we are leaving after lunch as this afternoon we have a big meeting on zoom involving a lot of social workers/ nurses / carers etc about Rob and how he can be supported more I have to drop Rob off and get his mum set up on zoom and then race back to join the meeting myself hopefully some good will come out of it.
Dinner tonight will be chicken parmigiana which dd will cook house is tidy and not enough washing for a load.
Im finding the evenings are still a bit chilly so we are lighting the log burner after dinner so we have ordered another load of logs what we don’t use can go in the log shed for next winter.
Gers your meal sounds lovely xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all. Dry here today.
This morning we have the chimney sweep coming to fit a better cowl on the top of our chimney; he'll be going up on the roof so thank goodness it's dry. DH will be standing guard at the bottom of the ladder.
At lunchtime I'm having some root canal treatment on my tooth so not looking forward to that. It will be something soft and easy for dinner tonight.
Other than that today will be spent ironing and pottering.
Wishing you all a good day.11 -
Morning all, feeling a bit chillier again, and starting to rain. Not much planned for today, although I think DH is only at work this morning to wait for the building inspector, hopefully passing foundations and then the next stage can progress. The meal sounded lovely Gers, your too TA.Hope the root canal filling goes well WLAbbafan, yes we've been watching Coma too, enjoying it but some of the plot seems a bit far-fetchedScarlet, I find it hard to get rid too. I do send lots to CShops, and I have quite a lot that doesn't fit since losing weight, but if it's something that was a bit expensive or was a favourite then I struggleI am going to make a birthday card for an old school friend today, and posted another yesterday. Not made any for ages and my stock is running low. My DB1 retires next week but I think I'll buy one for him, can't get into making cards for men somehow.I think I'll make a beef casserole today in the sc so that will be ready to eat if we go and pick DGS up.Hugs to anyone struggling, and hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi everyone,
The children have both gone to nursery and Steve is at golf so the house is quiet, I relish these moments of peace because the place is so busy most of the time.
I think I'll do a mini pamper before I get dressed, just a face mask and a bit of attention to my nails, but I need it. In less than a month we will be looking after Nate on Thursdays so I shall have to make the next couple count. We're supposed to only do every other Thursday alternating with his other grandma but she hasn't been well so we might end up doing every week.
I hope Rob gets more support Ruby.
Have a good day.11
