Teachers pay rise

Options
What month do teachers usually get there yearly pay-rise? If they get one thanks.

  • In England unfortunately due to academisation the government will make a decision, then individual trusts need to then adopt the new pay scale points (or not, as they don't have to, but most will or all their staff will leave), this is ratified by the governing body/board and then you get the pay rise in about november/december but backdated to 1st september. It was all much simpler when the council just automatically implemented the pay decision on 1st September!

This year it was about 6%, so if you haven't received that increase from last year contact the employer, I can't imagine there are many trusts not paying this by now.

My hubby didn't have a pay rise in about 6 years and recently got one without strike action 😵 and it's being back dated to April. Which I assume they use as their year like the rest of the council
