Portable DVD Players

Anyone spotted any good deals on Portable DVD Players? We got an Acoustic Solutions one from Argos but had to return it because it wouldn't read discs. Shame too, as it was half price - but they don't have any left in any stores nearby.

Looking for sub-£100.

Yeah, saw that instore, but two screen's is pretty pointless for us. What are Wharfedale like?

Good picture and sound - and best of all has played all formats so far inc divx- (haven't tried the usb stick input.)

You can buy cheaper, but this one's well put together.

Read loads of reviews probably spent more time on choosing this player than on our lcd tv.

The main conclusion that I came to was that the sound/vision would be nowhere near as good as the standard tv as the speakers are small and the screen has limitations - so expectations need to be put into context. However the sound is very good through headphones and you can connect the player to a tv with lead that is included.

That looks quite nice actually. I'm not too fussed about it being fantastic in it's specs, as it's really only for my 5-year old daughter to watch DVDs on long car journeys. I notice it's free delivery too, I thought Empire Direct used to charge fairly horrendous prices for shipping.
