Hi, now back - after 2 lovely days we are back to rain this morning.
We went to Aln*ick Garden on Monday, it was such a lovely day. We renewed our "Friends of" cards, and had a wander round.. It was lovely. On the way home we called at Ik*a, which we had originally planned to do, so it was a nice day out.
Yesterday we weren't out till evening when we went to the quiz.
Silver-Oldie, glad your car got through the MOT, it's a relief isn't it.
Ruby, you are working wonders with Rob.
Dp1, your Dg d is a treasure, she seems to cope so well with her health problems. Hope your dad is doing all right.
I
Snoozer I wish I had hair like Esben!
I was supposed to be meeting a friend this morning but she's had to cancel, we'll meet up next week. I have jobs here that I can get on with, there's always something. I'll have to go to the shops anyway, we need bread.
I know I've missed people out, I must apologise. Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, and thoughts to the poorlies.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning All
Wet and miserable today, yesterday was quite nice after a wet start.
My car passed it's MOT so I'm a happy bunny, it also had a service so should be good for a while yet. The garage owner picks the cars up from work, does the work and brings them back which is such a help.
I went on a little school trip yesterday to ikea with another member of staff and some children, it was after school so the parents brought and picked up the children. We went 'behind the scenes' to see their recycling set up, also had a tour of the staff canteen (very nice and just like their restaurant), games room and offices. I think I would like to work there!
Glad you enjoyed Alnwick Gardens scarlet, I loved it there. Was the cherry blossom out? Is the new children's play area open yet?
Sounds like you had a lovely surprise party Izzy.
Hope the poorlies are recovering.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks. What a gloomy start here after a couple of bright and sunny ones. It sounds as though the rain, albeit light, is going to be with us all day.
The hairdresser duly arrived yesterday, early for a change! I currently feel to have been scalped but it will soon grow I suppose!
Out for lunch today with DF (postponed from yesterday) I am introducing her to the lovely restaurant I went to with DD and the DGDs at half term. I hope she enjoys it as much as we all did.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Well done with the MOT successes too! Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all. It's rather dank here.I'm off down to Glasgow later, this time for pleasure and an overnight stay. There's a talk about a 'forgotten' and now hidden village in what is now the centre of Glasgow. It's being held in the lovely old village of Eaglesham which is where I scattered my beloved Dad's ashes many years ago. My old friend Alan and I are going for an early dinner first.Hugs to our poorlies and sad.10

Hi all
Seems everyone is having happy MOT results!
Gers - sounds interesting, enjoy
TA - enjoy lunch
Taking DM and DF to a local town - gift voucher needed from a specialist shop, meat stock-up from the very good butchers and maybe tea and cake. With luck I’ll have time to run around the charity shops for a mooch. DF will try some driving on the way back after his elbow operation and I have to get the outer dressing off. There will no doubt be a myriad of other things I find to do - even more if it stops raining!AA

Morning all. Guess what; it's raining again!
I'm off to help at the Larder again this morning and will then pop over to see DD after lunch. The rest of my day will be free as the M1 is partially closed tonight so I've said I won't be driving down to Morris practice. There are so many roadworks and closures going on at the moment I've put my foot down!
I'll make a chicken curry for tonight, as I'm staying home. Yesterday I got the bus to M&S and picked up some hot cross buns so have just had one toasted for breakfast.
Happy Wednesday everyone.9 -
Morning all
Dry here and we are actually meant to get some sun later which will be so nice, I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work hopefully they will have something for us to do today and the last few times we have been we are just sitting listening to music or colouring, Rob does not do well if he gets bored he needs something physical to do.
Will pick up some shopping on the way home so not sure what’s for dinner yet will see what we fancy later, house could do with hoovering but I’m hoping dd will do that later as she is off.
Glad all the cars have passed the mot’s it’s such a relief when they do.
TA enjoy your lunch x
Gers have a good day out xx
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Morning all, raining here too. Yesterday morning I went with DH & DS to the storage place we have on a farm near where we used to live. The men were doing some work on DHs car in a spare garage so I took the opportunity to go and sort stuff. The downstairs is building tools & equipment, upstairs all the 'stuff' that has been taken there over several house moves, books, photos ( so many photos ) etc. etc. I thought I'd start on the piles of books & brought 2 big bags home for the CS. Some forgotten gems in there - one called 'fortune in your attic'- I think it was from the 90's,it also had a guide price in them, interesting read. Had 1 or 2 items, an old brass corkscrew which gave a value of £250- sadly DH dropped it a while back and knocked part of the metal off along with the value !I have the house to myself today, although DH might be back due to the rain so I'll try and have a good tidy.Mr T order due any minute too so I'll love you and leave you , and hope you all have a good day. Tea will be something from the order x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9

Morning everyone
We have rain too this morning, Monday and Tuesday were lovely sunny days. I started doing some tidying in DDs back garden while little one was at her party. It has been well looked after with lots of established plants - I'm looking forward to see what it's like as the weather hopefully gets warmer. DD will cut the two lawns front and back, but has no interest in plants but little one will enjoy helping me.
DD was home in time to drop me back home before picking up little one - she'd had a lovely time at the party. Her alarm had gone off once, she had given herself some glucogel and then checked again to make sure her blood sugar was going back up. Little star.
I managed fine giving dad his meds yesterday, though I felt quite sad feeding him crushed up tables mixed with yogurt, though he's not at all bothered.
I'll go down this morning to have a cuppa with them and then I need to go into town to pick up a prescription and get a few things.
Scarlet ribbons - I love Alnwick Gardens I was planning on taking little one in the Easter holidays if the weather is nice. I'm hoping the cherry blossom will be out, we went last spring and it was beautiful - we sat for ages on one of the big swings in the orchard.
Camelot yes Llilidorei is open. We haven't had little one there yet but I've heard good reports from mums at nursery. There seemed to be a lot of complaints about the price for adults to go in during the first few months, but I looked just the other day and they've reduced them .
Right I'd better get moving. Hope everyone has a good day today x9 -
Morning! Not raining yet! A day of garden potter awaits me when I am fully awake. I'll be sowing seeds and general tidying and probably staring at the front garden with a cup of tea wondering where I'll be putting the too much stuff I have. I may go to Dobbies after and claim a free drink. Not to look at plants, honest! OK, I lie, I will look at them...Good job I finally cracked the rosemary cuttings, my sister tells me that my mothers rosemary is going to have to come out after more than 40 years, so at least I can give her a few replacements for it, taken from mine which came from hers. Continuity at it's finest...Glad that MOTS have been passed! dp1, no, not nice to have to do things like that, then we have to go down the child becoming the adult in the relationship. Rosy, well done on tackling some decluttering, never a job that I rush into wholeheartedly. TA, enjoy the new place ,both of you hopefully! Gers, have a nice meal and talk, it does sound really interesting. Hope all the poorlies are behaving themselves and on the mend...Take care all! [Chris, 17 days to go?]Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...9
