Thank you Gers, I intend to eat cake all day!
I've had a busy weekend, feel like I'm going back to work for a rest. Day trip out was really good and lunch was fresh and tasty.
I started to put the bed together last night but ran out of time after I had done it wrong. Should get it finished tonight.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX9 -

Happy birthday Camelot! Hope you enjoy your day. Also, happy birthday wishes to Snoozer.
It's a fine start here, hope it lasts, yesterday was a damp gloomy day.
Good to see Nan posting, Mr Fix it seems to be doing a good job of looking after you, he's definitely a keeper!
Dp1, glad your Dad is home, it's handy that your Dd is a carer and can give good advice.
We're going to Ik*a today, haven't been there for ages, and I like a look round. It shouldn't be too busy on a Monday morning.
We had a quiet weekend, all we did was have a quick trip to Dob*ies, I wanted to look at plants, but didn't buy anything. The café was busy, so we didn't go in.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to Nanny, and Dp1's dad, and anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks.13 -

Shattered here after craft fair all weekend and have lots of tidying and sorting to do. Taxing DM to the shops. Vans and cars to clean and general catching up needed.Just going to finish my book before I get up

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Happy Birthday CAMELOT, have a lovely day despite being at work.
It's a beautiful start here with lots of blue sky and the sun is shining. I am planning a tidy up in the front garden (it's a disgrace) but it will be the usual stop, start and rest a bit affair. The weeds have gone rampant but they can wait for another day.
My SIL, who I mentioned a few weeks ago, has her big op and stoma today. This to be followed by 6 weeks of intense chemo and radiotherapy. I don't think she anticipates just how ill she is likely to feel. She speaks to my DD a lot as, because of her work at the hospice, she feels she can ask her a lot of stuff she doesn't want to bother the consultant with. She is avoiding Googling lots of stuff but her DH, on the other hand, is. Poor chap is worried sick and, having been in his shoes, I know just how he will be feeling.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Thinking of our NAN and Dp1's dad in particular. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning everyone
Happy Birthday Camelot - have a good day x
Thanks again for all the good wishes for dad. I'm going down this morning along with my sister in law so DD can show us how to do his medication. I'll have to do it tomorrow morning as DD has a first aid course for work and will have to leave at 7.30am. So I also have little one overnight tonight - she has a birthday party after school so should be tired. She's been so excited for it all weekend.
Eldest DD came 4th out of 18 in her pole dancing competition yesterday - she was very happy. She sent me a video one of the other girls had taken for her. She was excellent though I did tell her she could have worn bigger pants!
Right I better get on. I have washing to hang outside as it's forecast to be sunny today and 13 degrees!
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning all
Feels damp here but not actually raining, Rob coming today and the other lady has cancelled again as she is poorly, I can’t remember the last time I saw her ! DD is off this week so we thought we would take Rob for a walk around the lake in Arundel and then get some lunch out he will enjoy it he just loves being out and about.
Dinner tonight will be roast dinner as I did extra yesterday so nice and easy tonight, I have put a wash on this morning but I think it will have to go on the airer.
I suffer from a dry scalp and bought a bottle of scalp rescue stuff which was basically oil with rosemary and tea tree in, OH helped me put it on yesterday and I left it for a while then washed it out the difference is amazing ! Not only is my hair so soft but it seems to have really helped the dry scalp, I think I will get another one when I see it.
Happy Birthday to Camelot have a lovely day xxx
Have good days all and take care xx5 -
Morning all, & Happy Birthday wishes CamelotI've just been ploughing through the reading thread on here, and lost track of time. I'm going to the newly refurbished library in town this morning to return some books but I don't think I'll get any more today as DS1 bought me 2 thick ones for Mothers day, although DH has asked me to see if I can find a locally written one about some of the old houses in our town, as he was asked to price a job up on one of them and was interested in the history. DS enjoyed his trip to Wales, they got back late yesterday afternoon. Took some lovely photos of the sunset near Conway.Tea will be chicken breasts in Red Thai marinade from the butchers, and probably rice for the men. The butchers do a variety of different flavours and usually include 2 lots in their weekly pack so I have a stash in the freezer. They are so big they easily feed the 3 of us.I suppose I'd better do some tidying up before I catch the bus to town, and perhaps stick the washer on!Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Thank you for the start Gers
Happy birthday 🎂 Camelot
Belated Happy Birthday 🎈 snoozer.
Just dropped car off for MOT. Not sure if I need a car, it's old, so if it needs too much spent on it, I'll scrap it.
Need to get into the garden, not sure if I'll do much. Trying to find a gardener but there don't seem to be any with time available.
Thinking of DP1's Dad, Nan and TA's SiL.
