Indulge ~ An amazing dessert book

ok not totally OS but this book i am about to tell you about is fantastic and is on offer on amazon at present

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Indulge-Perfect-Desserts-Claire-Clark/dp/1904573754/ref=dp_return_1?ie=UTF8&n=266239&s=books

I have been lucky enough to be given a personalised signed copy of this book for Christmas by my mum. Reason being this wonderful pastry chef (now the head pasrty chef at the worlds greatest restaurant ~ some say ~The French Laundry at Yountville , CA) actually did the desserts for my wedding 6 1/2 years ago and it was her sister that catered for my wedding.

This dessert book has everything you could possible want from shortbread to a wicked chocolate and red wine cake, simple scones to a popcorn sherbet.

i am so excited about trying out her recipes and in the book she has put all these great notes on nearly every page about how to store or when to serve or other version she has tried it out wit ( not just for me they are in every book )

Well done you! So lucky :)

I really want that book too, although it's not OS it does look completely delicious... However, and this is my way of justifying it ;)

You can create spectacular cakes at homes thus reducing the 'need' to go to a fancy schmancy restaurant and saving a lot of money :)

definitely :) i have been reading it all afternoon and can now honestly say that i feel more OS about it because the recipes are so easy to read and follow i am going to be more than happy to make these things and it is not all desserts there are scones and there is something called dumph noodle which is a type of bread with a glaze i think and lots for these things are going to help me fill up my kids for there lunch boxes to rather than buy which is a big thing of mine at the moment.

And so much nicer to have at the weekends when i encourage desserts rather than the kids picking on snacks all day instead.

    Goodness me...

I may buy this book :)

I have been trapped in the MS Arms for the past wee while but when I do manage to get out and over here I always end up wanting to buy something else. Not exactly moneysaving :rotfl: :rotfl:
