Pepper money mortgage

HELP!!!! We took out a pepper money mortgage 2 years fixed rate but it ran out last year just as the mortgage hike hit , we are now in debt as we couldn’t afford the extra £500 each month, we buried our heads I admit up to Christmas & I am now trying to sort it , I paid an extra £150 Jan & plucked up the courage to speak to pepper in feb , they reduced the payment for one month on the proviso that I go to a debt charity for help but looking at the income & expenditure they said the mortgage looked unaffordable now, I am now in a panic!!! Don’t want to loose our home 😞 I’ve cut down on mobile bills , cancelled tv subscriptions , food bills , I don’t know what else to do, when I do the expenditure on step change I hsve £100 left each month, if I pay the full mortgage but that’s missing off a budget for extras like clothes etc, my partner has recently lost all overtime which was a regular income & our rate with pepper is about 10% I know there are cheaper rates that we could afford but can’t get because of bad credit , can anyone advise if we can get Pepper to reduce their interest rate or another mortgage provider???

You can do a product transfer with pepper and get a rate of around 6.5-7%, but I think you need to have payments up to date. Speak to pepper about a product transfer. They may allow you to do it now.
