Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
Seems to be a fairly ok morning, as far as I can see, but better not say too much or the weather gods will send a hurricane or something to teach me a lesson.
Belated happy birthday wishes to the 2 birthday girls, hope you both had great days. It was mine a couple of weeks ago, I was 76 - like TA I was only a girl last week! How the years slip away.
Working with those 2 colleagues sounds a bit grim Camelot, hope it's not too bad. How bad mannered and childish they sound.
I wasn't out yesterday, apart from the quiz last night. Going out this morning to meet a friend at Dobbies, it's the first time I've met up with her since we returned from Oz, so we'll have plenty to talk about.
Nanny, thinking of you, hope you are taking it easy and not trying to do too much, also thoughts to any one else who is poorly or sad.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It looks a bit wet and a lot windy out there. But fortunately feels reasonably mild.
I had a lovely birthday yesterday and feel half a stone heavier with all the eating! Lovely lunch with DF (not quite the light bite I had intended!) and then a delicious meal with family later. The food, as always, was beautiful and enjoyed by us all. A bit expensive but you get what you pay for don't you!
Today is bus trip day and another day of wining and dining at lunchtime! I'll cut back tomorrow! After our boycott last time we are going to go back to our favourite venue, despite the slow service of late! You never know, it may have improved! It will follow the usual browse of the cs and any hardy stallholders who have set up in this weather.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. CAMELOT I hope their wasn't too much childish whispering from your colleagues. I hope NAN is continuing to convalesce well. Take care one and all and stay safe xx

Morning all, it's wet here after a few dry'ish days. No, I haven't cut the grass yet though I did put the battery on charge. 😀 Neirher did I go to the meeting, too much spluttering and coughing to be in company. I only went out to fuel up the car and buy the local weekly paper, mind you the paper is a complete waste of time. I only buy it occasionally and each time I promise myself that I won't do it again. After a Night Nurse assisted sleep I'm ready for my nail appointment this morning. Nothing else is planned, I won't be doing any shopping this week. It's too easy yet there's plenty in the freezer which needs eating up. I'm trying to be ruthless with myself.9

Happy belated Birthdays for yesterday
I was super busy all day at work and exhausted.
Today DF is having an operation so I’ll be on taxiing duty, he should be out later but then no driving for c2weeks so more taxiing and errands no doubt - I already feel tired 😉
I’d like to try and finish all the craft stuff I have planned today so I’m not having a last minute panic before the weekend fair - will see how that goes!Happy middle of the week to everyone

Off to collect Rob today, he has a blood test either today or tomorrow his mum had forgotten which day but she was going to phone and check I have said I will take him so will arrange the day around that, I have to get some shopping as well so will do that on the way home.
Not sure about dinner tonight I will see what takes my fancy in the shop something quick and easy as I’m going through a bad stage sleeping wise and feel shattered.
Topsy the new man is sounding promising !
Hope Nan is ok and recovering well xxx

Morning all
Quiet day yesterday; my car had it's service and MOT so I went out on the bus and got a few things, including a new nightie. Came home and made some shortbread to take to a friend we're visiting on Thursday.
DH went to Costco so we now have some salmon and lamb steaks in the freezer; will share one of the pieces of lamb tonight as they look quite big.
Tonight I'm off down the M1 for Morris practice. Things are getting busy and we're getting lots of summer fete and festival bookings in.
Have a good day everyone.11 -
Morning All
Dull and damp again today but thankfully the overnight wind has calmed, I was woken up at 2am with wind and rain battering the windows.
Enjoy your trip out TA, hopefully the venue will have improved.
Good news re your DS2 Topsy, enjoy seeing date man.
Hope all goes well for DF's op Allie.
Ruby, I'm having trouble sleeping at the moment too. So much going on this week it must be playing on my mind.
Enjoy your catch up Scarlet.
The office was a bit frosty yesterday, very strange atmosphere - not sure how to handle things so I'll say nothing. The other person didn't come near thank goodness so no whispering! A respite day today then it all starts again tomorrow - I'm too old for this carry on!
I'm getting my eyebrows waxed and tinted after work, it'll be nice to sit and relax for 5 mins!
Take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone
Wild and windy here, but I don't have to go out until I pick little one up from school so hopefully it will have died down a bit. Yesterday she was full of chat as her class had been on a trip to our local garden centre - they'd all had hot chocolate with lots of cream on top, she was very impressed!
This morning I have a course, just on zoom so I don't need to go anywhere. Then tonight I'm going to bingo and supper at school with DD and little one - she's very excited about that too! It must be lovely to be 5 when every little thing is so exciting.
When I came home from work yesterday my grass had been cut, the first one this year, it looks really nice. Since I got Long Covid I've paid a local gardening business to cut it, I've cut it back to once a month this year as the price has gone up. I can always change it back to once a fortnight if it grows quickly.
Topsy I hope your son is successful with PIP - it seems unbelievable that they could refuse him. Well done to him for going to the support group, it's very brave of him.
Well I'd better get dressed. Hope everyone has a good day today x12 -
Morning all, not raining today so I may get my harris in gear and sow some seeds. I have discovered I have an unwieldy amount fo seeds that I will never sow so time to give them away. I know I like courgettes but I grow a maximum of four so why I have got about six packets? Ok, ten ish....oops. Nothing else going on today, something for supper, I'll probably take something out of the freeer for that, there's plenty of ready mades in there I keep putitng in and forgetting to take out. Chilli with some bits maybe. So a nice relaxing day today....Camelot, would telling them to behave like adults and not cliquey children help or hinder? one day they'll might stop being so self absorbed. good luck with them..Allie, fingers crossed for rapid recovery for your dad...Take care all, rapid recovery for anyone else unwell too...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Morning all, I'm off out with the cousins shortly, our usual place next to a fishing lake. Suddenly realised that the cousin who picks me up is 70 soon. I made a card then had the thought yesterday so DS nipped me to As da to pick up a lovely bunch of flowers. I hope they last ok as it said they were £15 but when I paid they were half price. They had lots of half price ones from Mothers day in a seperate section.DGS swimming gala was hectic, very noisy and echoey stood on the viewing balcony, and so hot- Haven't been so hot since DN wedding in Greece 2 yrs ago
had to mop my brow at one point. He won a front crawl race & overall his school came 3rd from 8, - he got a medal so was very happy.
Topsy, had to read back on yesterdays posts to catch up but hope it's helped DS.Right better dash, have a good day all xPS Taff, managed to swap our broadband yesterday, hope it's ok for us!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
