Has anyone had experience in receiving/applying for a mortgage specifically aimed at professionals, e.g. Chartered accounts, engineers etc. I have a few questions if so;
- Who are the lenders offering these products?
- What do the income multipliers go up to?
- Are affordability calculations the same, is future earnings growth taken into account?
- Can you receive preferential rates?

The income multiples can be higher (I think maybe up to 5.5x or 6x especially if their is a definite income rise matrix like there are for trainee Drs). But the rates wont be preferential.
The best rates are for the masses not for the people looking for niche products.

Professionals mortgages are aimed primarily at Doctors, Lawyers, Dentist, Accountants, and some other Medical Professionals, rarely Engineers.
Lender can sometimes offer some flexibility on affordability or a small advantage on product terms.
More valuable for medical or legal/financial professionals is to deal via a broker with experience of dealing with professionals in your line.I am a Mortgage Broker
