Settlement figure

Was the settlement figure subject to the next payment being made and you cancelled your DD/didn't make the payment ? Or something more fundamental in the calculation0

Did you get your settlement figure, in February, in writing? If so, what precisely did it say? The settlement figure would only be valid if the loan was settled in the specified timeframe. What is the explanation for the "mistake"? What precisely is the £219 in respect of?0

Yes ive got it in writing to say what the final payment/settlement was but they mucked i and missed a payment out completely and they now keep telling me I’m in arrears even though if I hadn’t settled early the last payment would have been due on the 1st of April (I made 2 payments in Feb and thought that was it0

A genuine mistake on their part does not let you off in my opinion. Did you get a closing statement after you paid it off?
If you can prove you are in a bad financial situation - negotiate a bit off as compensation (say £25) but the amount is still due.0
