Hello,
I recently bought my 4 bed room house.
Currently me and my wife use one bedroom and other three are empty.
I start to think of letting one or two rooms out.
Will the mortgage company know my letting (my mortgage is not buy to let one) and if they knows, what will happen?
Thanks

For insurance purpose to your house, you should let them know incase something seriously happens to your house0

Some mortgage companies require you to inform them before letting out a room. This is to minimise any problems should you default and they apply to reposess and the lodger argues that their rent went towards the mortgage.
