Specified Adult Childcare credits

Hi have 2 questions re this which I hope forum members will be able to answer.
1. If my wife claims this as a grandparent looking after a grandchild does might daughter lose her NI stamps for that time period?
2. If my wife has already paid for missing years can she claim in the hope of getting a refund from HMRC if she is found to be eligible for the benefit?
Thanks in advance.

    1. Yes
    2. She can claim but she won't get a refund of voluntary payments she has already made.

    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/grandparents-childcare-credit/ might be helpful.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    To clarify
    1)  Your daughter can only transfer her credits earned through child benefit if she has the period covered by another method such as employment or other benefits.
    2) only one way to find out although there has never been a reported successful case on her although asked a few times.

That was a taken but she can only transfer the child benefit credits to a carer if she is receiving credits from another source such as employment.
