Firstly apologies at really not having a clue on this!
As I am on State Pension and no other income and hubby is still working I transferred marriage allownace as Martin Lewis metioned it - I worry that rise in SP for 24/25 to £11,500 and the allowance will take meover the tax threshold. It say Marriage Allowance transfers £1260, do I need to cancel this prior to April 2024, also what is Gov Gateway.
When I worked it was PAYE so never had dealing with tax office....don't want to start now if poss
Sorry for poor explanation, but thought here was best for advice

You will remain eligible for Marriage Allowance until you become a higher rate payer.
On pension income of £11,500 you would have less than £40 tax to pay so if your spouse saves more than that from receiving Marriage Allowance you will still be better overall as a couple.
You could always see if he will pay any tax bill you get 😉
But if you strongly object to getting a tax bill you could easily avoid then just be aware that it could cost your spouse £252 😳0 -
Also, what happened to all your other pensions from a couple of years ago 🤔as I have small NHS pension(which I take) plus 4 other old works pensions only one of which is around £18.000 the other 3 which are all below £10,000 each0
