Hi, i have cancelled all my direct debits in the hope of arranging repayment plans with my creditors. I know that its advised you should change bank account if you have any debt with your current bank. I only have a small amount of debt with them and had planned just to pay this off so i didnt need to change banks, however, ive since discovered that my bank Barclays are in the process of taking over Tesco bank who i also have debt with and cant afford to pay that off. Ive now opened a Starling account and transferred all my essential d/d's and wages to that, will my wages be safe with Starling? Thanks for any help and advice.

Starling aren't linked to Barclays or Tesco so your money will be safe there. Starling's app is far better than Barclays so switching would have been a good move in any case.
