Dyson DC14 Blitz

Hope everyone has had a very merry christmas and apologies if this is not a grabbit. I want to find out from you clued up people if this is a good deal as I am clueless!

Dixons has the Dyson DC14BLITZ
DYS DC14BLITZ IT in the sale at £179.00. However I am really really really confused about what this model is as I cannot see it on the actual Dyson website.



I really need to get a dyson upright so is this a good deal or is it a super old model that will provide me with complications if things go wrong?

I don't know much about Dyson's, but can tell you this model is exclusively sold for Dixons, and Currys hence why you can't see it in the Dyson online store.
Though you can view it on their support pages, as you will have the same Dyson support as any other model.

From what I can tell it's the DC14 all floors, coloured red, with some extra tools thrown in. We've just bought one to replace our aging DC7 and are very happy with it. £179 certainly is a good price.

Comet have a special called DC14 overdrive at the mo too - same price/same spec.

I bought one of these on Sunday and its great. Really hoovers up well and comes with about 6 tools to go with it. Only 3 fit onto the hoover and the other 3 are under my stairs for when I need them definitely recommend.

As the Blitz has the HEPA filter would that not make it more equivalent to the allergy model?

I wish the Dyson site just listed all the special models. I was in the US and saw a similar Red DC14 sold exclusively at Target so would be nice to compare.

Be careful with the models with just a Hepa filter in. The Allergy models have a special filter called the Hepa & Bactisafe. This is more than just a normal Hepa filter and is better for allergy sufferers as it actively kills bacteria and mites etc.

We've just bought a DC14 Allergy from Amazon for £199, best prices we could find elsewhere were well over £200 so Amazons the place at the moment.
