Lost receipt for package from UK to China.

Package returned 17th January for refund of £52+ to Amazon seller in China from UK Post Office. Have lost receipt. Tracking info only received from PO suggests parcel has arrived in China, however it is now being held at Customs. Now Post Office insisting that they cannot issue copy of receipt of posting, without which neither Amazon nor the seller will acknowedge refund or missing package claim. Any advice would be helpful thanks.

If the packge is held at customs then it's not lost. If it doesn't clear customs then it'll be returned in due course.
