comping fatigue

Been doing comps for a good few years and had some lovely wins but I seem to have been hit with what I can only describe as 'comping fatigue', I think it's come about because of a fairly lengthy dry spell and it's becoming a chore to enter the comps! Anyone else had this before?

Hi
I get it all the time!
It is absolutely driving me nuts. Facebook, all the scam wins and Instagram restricted or bansjust seems like what's the point? Especially when there are so many people doing them and lots of bloggers/ professionals too! However a good pool of mates on here who are supportive and keeps me going, @Bigboytyson
Also noticed when I get like this is usually just before a nice win
You can only win if you keep going, good luck, it will happen.6 -
I've won nothing since returning to comping about a year ago. I just keep telling myself you've got to be in it to win it. Though it is frustrating5

For three years in the mid-2000's I won absolutely nothing despite entering over 1000 comps per month. Not a DVD, plastic apron, nothing, nada, zilch. I was about to give up entirely when I won a holiday and a cellar-full of Penfolds wine. So you just never know when luck will strike. Enter, forget and be pleasantly surprised if something turns up.9

If you're looking for a win to try to ease you out of the dry spell, entering the Bonne Maman frying pan competition might help. They're giving 20,000 away over the three competition periods, so a decent chance. Lots of MSE compers won one in the first draw. They're lovely pans tooThe current draw ends tomorrow, so get in fast if you want a chance at both draws. Another period opens shortly after, but you can only win one pan overall.

If its not fun at the moment, maybe take a break for a bit? You don't have to keep going unless you want to! I take breaks every now and again when I can't be bothered, and then when motivation strikes again just pick it back up! Plus some competitions run a long time, you might still win something from a previous entry while you're on a break9

I entered religiously for years at the start of the millennium and was winning all the time - really decent prizes too. Almost every day brought a win - even if only small. Then it dried up and I stopped for a few years. Took it back up again about 4 or 5 years ago and have had some okay wins but nothing like when I first started. Why do mice have such small balls?
Because so few of them can dance.1 -
Made persona non-grata from all the main social networks and tonight Gleam is now asking for verification of my identity via social media. It's getting to the point where it's pretty much exclusively just the daily websites, magazine and radio comps where they only use reCaptcha and don't mandate social media accounts for entries. If you can't or don't use social media (I'm in both camps) then your options are becoming limited and as a result, not winning much in recent times.2
