Earnings to date don't match HMRC?

Long story short I'm trying to sort out my tax credits, it's ask for all the employment over past year. On my wage slip says £21k but checking on HMRC it says £17k. I've checked all payments and all seems right. Why would this be? I'm unsure what to use for tax credits now

Are you comparing different things?
HMRC are interested in taxable pay and this is often different to salary.
Can you post some details?0 -
Maybe I am I don't know. On my wage slip it says total for year, on the HMRC portal it shows all my wages a d total since April 5th last year which is totally different than the total earnings on my wage slipDazed_and_C0nfused said:Are you comparing different things?
