Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, cold, changeable weather forecast, we'll see.
Dinner last night was LO roast pork, braised in stock, mash, veg, yorkshires all eaten no waste. Tonight we'll be having sausages, egg, band and chips.
Short work day for me, but chores to do.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your short day.
Seems dry this morning, hoping that sunshine hasn't forgotten where I live! Washing went on the pulley last night and should be dry when I get home from work.
MOT on the car coming up soon so I got two new tyres yesterday as there wasn't a lot of wear left in the rear ones. Also took a picture to be framed that has been hanging about since last year. The builder called round to look at the roughcast at the side of the house, looks like it needs a new damp proof course too so that will have to be done asap.
Hope everything goes well for you today Nanny, we'll all be thinking of you.
Pleased to hear the little one is on the road to recovery dp1.
Hope little Esther is better snoozer and there's no more illness in the house.
Hoping your appt went well Scarlet.
Sounds like you had a good day WL.
Sorry to hear of the little dog TA, your friend made it's last few months happy.
There's talk of my colleague coming back to work next week, will wait to see what the boss says today. I've got used to being on my own!
Take care. XX11 -
Morning all. Dull but dry here. Have just had a fisherman unloading all his gear to go and fish in the meadow - we have a tributary of the Ouse running through here - so cold sitting on a stool fishing all day!
Yesterday started off well and DD and I went out for lunch but then she was phoned to collect her 5 yr old from school as he wasn't well. I stayed with her to look after the 5 month old plus she had to go up to the stables to make up hay nets and do the evening feed. DH is going over to help out today as her husband has to go in to the MK office all day.
Goodness knows what they'll do when she's back at work after maternity leave!
Off to the Larder in a little while so hope everyone's day goes smoothly.
All the best for your operation Nan.10 -
Morning - no rain, watery bright'ish sky and high hopes.I feel better after two early nights, the weekend was lovely though exhausting. Youngest nibling is still in the air on his way back to Oz, he'll be sleeping for days when home although his four young children may have other ideas about that.Yesterday's drives down to Glasgow and back were trouble free. An accident at Loch Lomond happened after I was passed and was cleared before I was done. Hygienist appointment was brief. I drove past the larger of the two Italian cafes, found a parking space so stopped. I only bought one of their delicious ciabatta sandwiches and a portion of lasagna then went straight home.Today I have a fasting bloods being taken at 11.00a.m. and then the cleaner is coming at 2.00p.m. so I need to do a swift tidy up. Just the usual clutter on the coffee table.Nan should be under the knife by now, I'm sending up good vibes for her.@WL - what a busy life you have too. I hope that your DGC is better soon.My thoughts are with all the poorlies whether adult or child.9

Morning everyone
Yesterday was lovely and sunny, back to rain again today
Little one's dietician took her back off her milk feeds yesterday, so that was good news. At least now we have spare milk in case she needs it again.
I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa this morning, then I have a man coming to clean my oven. Then I need to pop down to the shops for a few things. I'm busy putting photos into a new album so I'll continue with that this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Just popping in to wish NAN all the best today I am reading along and sending big hugs11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We had fog early doors but that's now lifted and we just have cloud cover. Not much in the way of sun is forecast but at least no rain (allegely!)
My DF made it for lunch after her sad day with the little dog's passing. She is just glad the rescue society were covering all the vet bills whilst she was in her care. They mounted up to a small fortune for all the tests, x-rays, biopsies, etc. Poor little dog, she was such a cute little thing.
Anyway a nice lunch and a good catch up were enjoyed. It was much busier than of late, I suppose the better weather and some sunshine had brought more people out. And our favourite table by the fire had been snapped up. Grr.
I had better tackle some jobs today I suppose but I would much prefer to be out gallivanting! Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. Thoughts today will be for NAN and hoping the op goes well. SNOOZER you are getting more than your share of ailments in your household, I hope all are soon better. Dp1 good news that your little superstar is now almost back to normal. She is such an inspiration as she seems to cope with everything so well. Take care all one and all and be safe xx

Morning all
Dry and sunny here which is a lovely change they say we will have sun for the next two days which will be good for my crocus I am up fo six now 😂
Day off for me again well rest of the week off as Rob and mum both now have covid she seemed to think the worst of hers was over so fingers crossed for a quick recovery for Rob.
I am taking mum out today to look at new carpet for her lounge and hallway, she had new carpet put down a few weeks ago by a con man 😡 and it looks awful ! The fitting is so bad I honestly could have done better myself the bloke has refused to answer any of our emails / phone calls he was really nasty and intimidating towards my mum 😡 anyway long story short I’m taking her to a reputable firm today to choose another one and get it fitted properly, lesson learnt for mum though she wanted it done quickly and did not want to wait the six weeks for the good firm to fit it !
I will do my shopping while out mum will probably want a few bits too, I will take the dogs out before we go.
Thinking of Nan hopefully she was one of the first to go down xx
TA sorry to hear about your friends dog xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Sunny again today
Been doing the usual jobs, & washing bathroom mats, and doing a little sewing job on a blouse where the buttons tended to come undone
.
Just need to put together the shepherds pie for tonight. Might do a bit more shredding before we go for DGS.RRuby what a shame about Mums carpet.Glad the poorly children seem to be doing better, and thinking of Nan todayTake care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
