Hi,
Our installation has been stalled for months due to stupid design errors by the installer. Soon, figers crossed, we may be able to move on.
Over the last say six months have solar panel etc prices gone up, or have cheaper versions been launched? We were talking about Solaredge with Q-cells panels but given the history I dont feel committed.
So the question is, should i be insisting on them honouring their price from September 2023, or would I be better getting the project requoted with current prices and products?

Sorry to hear this - I remember you were looking for a system 9 months ago (or thereabouts)
Panels peak wattages have improved, which makes older panels cheaper to purchase. On the flip side, SolarEdge have raised their prices by 10-15% since then. All in all, it is more of a buyer's market so try to hand at negotiating a few hundred off. It's what I would do.

Quick update as the system is finally in. Getting it re-priced was definitely the right decision, the new quote came in around 10% less with 20 higher power panels instead of 16 and the new model inverter which supports backup. Still Solaredge and Q-Cell panels.
It's just unbelievable how slow the process has been. I'm dealing with one of the only two companies in Scotland that anyone recommends, the other one gave a desktop quote but never responded to any questions.1
