Morning all. There's a beautiful baby pink and blue sunrise outside, which I'm watching from the warmth of my bed. I'll be back.

Morning all.
There's a frost outside, which is unexpected. I'm up earlyish as we're driving up to see a friend in Leicestershire and she's booked us in to a village pub for lunch.
Yesterday was a quiet day but I got some washing and ironing done. plus made cauliflower cheese for dinner.
Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.12 -
Yesterday’s weather was awful, snow, sleet and then rain all day so it’s a pleasant change to wake up to a frosty bright day today.Managed to get what I wanted at the fabric shop, DM got her hospital treatment and I did some craft work.Today will most definitely be a longer walk after yesterday’s washout. A session cutting wood for this week’s craft projects later followed by the inevitable de-sawdusting of the garage.Dinner is a spicy fish dish which will be quick to put together. That’ll be the weekend over!Hope everyone is well, and all the poorlies are improving.

Hi everyone,
Esben woke at 5.30 this morning, luckily I'd gone to bed early.
Thankfully Esther's CT scan was clear so that's the biggest worry out of the way. She didn't have a seizure yesterday either so hopefully things are on the up. I think we'll be very nervous for some time to come though. Laura had a schoolfriend who died as a result of an epileptic fit so that's very much on her mind.
I need to take Esben shopping for school shoes this morning and he has a friend's party this afternoon.
Thank you for all your good wishes. Not much is sticking in my brain at the moment so I'll just wish you all a good day, especially you with your family, Gers.13 -
Morning for frosty Mehefinland
Just a quickie from me.Was Mrs M's big birthday yesterday so out for the night at a local restaurant !!!!!! pub. Good food, expensive but very noisy!!
Its opportune in some ways as her place of work ceases at the end of the month and she got VR, although being a part timer the pay off isn't very much. Better than nothing though!!
Hugs and spoons as always
Will try to give a better update later in the week

Morning folks and thanks GERS. No blue sky here but at least the almost constant rain of yesterday has moved away. It still feels blooming nippy though. I've just been watching the snow in California - crikey I hope they don't send it on to us!
I was up and at 'em early doors as usual, tackling about half a dozen jobs at once. The bed stripped and half re-made and the bedding now washing away. Small shepherds pie made for lunch (I keep a batch of bases at the ready in the freezer so I only had mash to do) and the the veg prepped ready to put on.. Soup on the go for the coming week's lunches and dw stacked to capacity so that will go on next. If I don't get jobs done early they get postponed until the next day.
It was a good job my trip to town was called off yesterday as middle DGD descended soaking wet! She had been dog walking for one of the dance teachers who lives just down the corner. She got herself cosy under a throw and ended up staying for lunch as well. Good company as always.
SNOOZER good news but I can understand why you are all on tenterhooks in case it happens again. I had a couple of febrile convulsions when a baby and my DM told me how frightening it was. In my case though they heralded a temp and the onset of a childhood illness. so a bit different to Esther's case.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all and be safe xx ps IZZY I am so pleased your bosses turned up to wish you a happy retirement with thanks for your hard work too. I'm sure we all expected them to leave you to just walk out of the door and lock up. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning everyone
Nice blue sky here this morning - yesterday started off lovely then poured with rain in the afternoon.
Only plans today are to go down to sit with dad this morning, while my mam goes to church. Then a lazy afternoon with my book and Sunday Times. Back to work tomorrow, still not feeling well,, but more back to the 'normal' Long Covid now. We only have 4 weeks till we break up for Easter.
Little one is just going to school for the morning on Monday and Tuesday as she is still on the milk feeds every couple of hours, then she sees the dietician on Tuesday afternoon. DD is hoping she'll be taken back off them then.
Snoozer - good to hear Esther hasn't had any more seizures and her scan was fine. At least Esben has a party this afternoon to distract him.
Hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Morning all, brrr it's very cold but at least the sun is out. We had rain, sleet, hail and snow yesterday and when I looked out last night I thought it had been snowing, the cars were white with a thick frost. DD's hairdresser did a good job on my hair too and now I can see ! She hasn't cut my hair too short either, normally hairdressers are scissors happy 👏
Mr Fix It cleaned the cooker and the kitchen floor while I was out yesterday, so that's one less job for me to do today but I still want to dust and hoover the downstairs. I forgot to take anything out of the freezer for today so I'll have to cobble something together later, there's plenty in that we can eat.
Izzy I think your bosses turning up with flowers surprised us all. Enjoy your holiday.
Snoozer I hope baby Esther is ok today and Esben can enjoy the birthday party.
Mehefin happy belated birthday to MrsM.🎈
TA I too hope we don't get a lot of snow, not now anyway.
Have a good Sunday everyone
Take care all

Morning all
Bright and sunny here after non stop rain yesterday a lot of the roads are still impassable though so getting anywhere is going to be difficult.
OH is at the boot sale so just the dogs and I here and both dogs are snoozing. Dinner today will be roast pork I was fine last time I ate it so will give it another go it seems to be the palm or rapeseed oil that makes me bad, mum is coming up for dinner so it will be nice to see her, I’ve got a roulade for pudding too which is her favourite part of the dinner !
I have stripped the beds this morning and got the bedding on a hot wash we should be able to hang it out for a while today, OH will re make them later.
Snoozer so glad the news is slightly better re Esther hope she continues to improve xxx
I keep meaning to say for those that have seen Wicked little letters it was mainly filmed in our local town Arundel and some at Littlehampton I’ve not seen it yet but will do at some point.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning! Well isn't a bit of sun a treat even if it is brass monkeys Going to be a cooking day today. I made some jerk marinade for a friend during lockdown and it looks like I'll be making more again, it was a hit, but obviously, I didn't write anything down so I've been trawling recipes this morning to find the bare bones and the extras to make one later. I took some of the cheap beef from christmas out of the freezer so we'll have that later and I'll make polpette from the leftovers tomorrow maybe. Birthday yesterday went well so that's three down, nine to go, the rest are mostly grouped the week after next so a bit of respite, phew! Other than that, lazy day ahead...snoozer, fingers crossed for no more and them being just one of those [benign] things.....Izzy, well, that's restored a bit of faith in the humanity of your bosses, glad they marked the occasion, hope you're enjoying your first weekend of freedom Gers, glad the rellies were entertaining WL, safe driving! nanny, just relax for a bit...allie, enjoy the cutting and playing..Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday, or at least not a terrible Sunday...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...8
