Morning all! dry and cloudy, not too cold either...win! I'm out to the cinema with friends tonight to see Wicked Little Letters, not my type of film but you have to try new things don't you and I do like olivia Coleman, she's so irreverent. Cooked up a storm last night so nothing needing doing today, made ciabatta, cheese and onion scones and the spicy pumpkin cake again. All of these things either because things needed using up [ pumpkin] or things had gone off [milk] or the oven was on so why not...No other plans today. Things are moving again with the architect so next week I'd better go and see some kitchen places to work out layouts and we have homework of placing sockets etc. I might have a new kitchen by Christmas next yearNan, pleased to see you're sorted with appointments now. Scarlet, oh no, but on the mend so yay! nice to see you...Ruby, sneaky, I like it! camelot, I think that's known as a perk of the job...Izzy, happy last wedensday, I think the bosses wife is pulling out all the stops. Wouldn't be surprised if she came in with a seeing eye dog tomorrow. Welcome strawbeery, take a pew...Hope everyone is feeling ok, just remember, you're still alive so celebrate! and take careNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

No fencer - and he's not answered my text. Grrr.... what a waste of a morning. AND he's posting on FB about working in the area if anyone wants a quote. Double Grrrr.I've got a pot of wonky veg soup bubbling away on the stove, added in some lentils for protein. I've also roasted off nearly wonky red and yellow peppers. Now I'll just sort out some paperwork so I can clear it before my visitors on Friday - there's two niblings coming for the weekend so I've booked a cottage on the big house estate. I'm hoping they'll bring birthday cake and wine.@TA - I hope that the service is better today, it's awful when it's slow.@Scarlet - so sorry that you've been unwell, post holiday illnesses are very common.@Izzy - I'll miss the stories when you leave work.@AA - enjoy Wales, it's good to get away.@WL - I'm trying to work out the connection between you GC, the vet and stables@Ruby- do you have a dropped kerb? If so it's an offence to park across it.@Nan - that's such good news about getting your ops all done so quickly. Good old NHS. Good luck on training MrFixit!@Taff - a new kitchen is exciting.10

@Gers. The connection is that DD has a horse, kept at a local, to her, stable yard. She also has a 5 yr old and a 4 month old so can't deal with the horse (who needs sedation by the Vet today for a procedure) and the 4 month old at the same time so will need someone to take the 4 month old if her husband is too busy with work. It also might clash with collecting the 5 yr old from school hence we are on call for whatever might arise today.10

Afternoon everyone
Little one arrived in my bed just before 8am this morning and DD went to work. We had a nice snuggle and a chat for half an hour. While I was eating breakfast she wrote the cards she'd made yesterday and then made another one ready for her mummy's birthday, which is in a few weeks...we're vey organised! We did some maths which she was very excited about! No idea what she actually does in maths so I wrote her out some sums and she did some counting with buttons.
She's only eating tiny amounts of things like crackers, jelly and yogurt but is keeping full with her milk feeds.
I gave her to my mam after lunch and am now having a very lazy afternoon - still feeling very achy and tired - I'm going to find a new book to start.
Planning a nice easy tea of sausages, bacon, hash browns and a fried egg - snap Nan!
Hope everyone has a good day x10
