In between jobs

I am a civil engineer by training/profession. I have found myself out of work for the last few months.

I am claiming the job-seekers allowance.

I am looking for ideas for temp jobs. Ideally using my skills. I have tried temporary roles within the engineering sector but with no luck yet.

I am thinking of the following:

Exam invigilation:
Becoming an A-level tutor?
Library web wizard
Data analyst
Evening lecturer in a college?

Any ideas?

I guess the first question is, how temporary is temporary?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I expect that it is temporary until the OP can secure a role within their field of expertise. The problem is that most jobs require a degree of commitment, and employers will not hire someone who is likely to be off at a moments notice. However, some employers are set up to seek out and use such people. They will typically offer zero-hours contracts and have very limited training requirements. Call centres and the like spring to mind.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
