Good evening everyone and i hope you all had a very happy Christmas.
I have fell by the wayside since returning to work in July at the end of my maternity leave. Mainly caused by the fact that i cannot access the forums at work. Apparently they are blocked because they are clasified as 'Social/networking'
Anyway i have been continuing saving my £2 coins and am at £108.
I have been on this thread all day as I am determind to be focused on what will happen financially this coming year.
I know not everyone will be interested but i find that if i write my plans down here, i am more likely to stick to them. So here goes....
We have been given £1000 from the in laws for christmas (they recieved a substantial inheritance last month and they wanted to give us our share) so we will be clearing off the £600 OD on the joint account and buying a shed with the rest = 1 debt cleared
I have paid into a menage in work but it's not happening this year so i will be paying into the local credit union instead with the hope to getting a new heating system installed during the roasting hot summer we have forcast
I want to take on a 2nd part time job with the intention of paying off my Next card and a whack of my nationwide CC
DH is currently suspended from work at the moment but if he gets back, he will be doing all the OT on offer - if he doesn't get back he will need to find something else and then we really will be up the brown creek.... .
DH really doesn't see what i get out of this website so my next goal is to get him hooked.
I intend to buy a big tub and continue saving my £2 which will pay for next christmas. I also had a look at the paper mashe thread and will be doing this next week.
I am looking for other ideas to raise money to throw at all this debt......please feel free to guide me in the rite direction.
I use Quidco, do a food planner, have been knocked back for 0% CC so have to stay with our current ones.
We are due to renew our mortgage in July so i would rather get as much reduced ASAP
All help welcome

Hiya, just wanted to say welcome back...
I had a good Christmas and hope you had a good Christmas too.
I took on an extra job but to me that meant I could get more credit...now seen the error of my ways and Im sorting myself out finally thanks to people on here with help and advice. I will say that it is tough going (Ive wanted to leave many times) but seeing the debts reduce is such a great feeling!!!!
Check out the daily clicks advice thread Im doing that but you really have to be determined and dedicated to doing it and all the money from that goes on the debts all be it a few quid each month but every little helps as the saying goes.
Sorry I couldnt be any more help.DFW Nerd No: 758  Proud to be dealing with my debts!:T Proud mum to Bon-Scott my amazing 10/10/10 baby

Don't be daft - as one famous supermarket used to say - every little helps !!!!
I do my daily click throughs at work and have recommended a lot of people to pigsback too. my only problem is that i cannot access the forums in work which is the only time i really get peace to do it.
I would need to get a PT job working only 1 or 2 nights a week as i have a 10 month old and a 3 year old. I work full time at the moment so having a spare minute is kinda limited.
I really wish DH had got a job when he was first suspended cos we could have had 3 full time salaries coming in and paid off a huge whack by now.
Only problem is he still hasn't had a full lightbulb moment - he's kinda flickering on a faulty bulb for the time being :rotfl:
Thanks to you all for the relplies - everyone is a boost to making sure i see this throughOfficial DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts
