Hi,
Can anyone help?
my friend had a CCJ in 2001 with capital bank for £2.60 a month which she was paying over at £7.58 a month for a long time. For some reason it was passed to LINK in 2006 who recently tried to set up a direct debit without her authority for £34 a month?? She blocked it with the bank.
LINK have never mentioned the court order, I don't think they know it exists & it was passed to them in error.
Should she just continue to pay them the original court order of £2.60 or even tell them there is a court order? balance outstanding is about £650
Thank you

Quite possibly they do not know about the ccj. I wouldn't tell them but it's a superb defence if they try a second claim.
If the court ordered payment at £2.60 per month then that's what you pay.
If they want a different amount they have to go through the court1 -
