  • A popcorn maker from my best friend. It was perfect for me because I love watching films at home and eating microwave popcorn and this is healthier because it uses hot air not oil. She also got me a purple hair dryer and cosy microwaveable slippers.

    The video game Skyrim and some lovely smart comfy shoes and socks for work from my husband.

    Weird gloves from my brother, they're like glove puppets, I think they're supposed to be cows but I'm not sure, neither is he. Anyway they're very warm.

    A lovely embroidered wash bag with scented soap, a calendar, which will help me get organised in the new year, and money to fix my phone from my mum.

    Perfume from a friend.

    A diamante keyring with my initial from a friend.

    Without consulting each other, my brother in-law and a friend both gave my husband and I very similar framed embroideries for our home with different sayings "...and they lived happily ever after" and "a house is made of bricks and beams, a home is made of hopes and dreams" so now we have a nice set to display in our home.

    Regifted toiletries from my parents in law. I know they're poor so I wouldn't have minded if they hadn't told me and had bothered to rewrap them!

    I got:
    A sewing machine
    Three sewing books
    A knitting book
    Four cookbooks (incl. the great British bake off book and cooking for geeks)
    Four CDs (new Coldplay, two Adele and Best of Prince :o)
    New Richard Dawkins book
    Cashmere hat and scarf set
    Three yankee candles
    A Pauls Boutique bag (which will be eBayed or given away. I really don't like PB!)
    My wife hunted down a coat (on eBay) I'd bought three years ago in River Island and LOVED but worn until ragged and I've mourned for ever since
    A big bottle of my favourite perfume
    Lots of body butters, scrubs and smellies
    Four bottles of champagne, incl. Bolly and Taittinger (one magnum! :T)
    Magnum bottle of lovely red wine
    Cheeses, nuts and choc covered nuts

    I think that's all...a very good Xmas indeed; I'm really pleased with how practical and 'me' most of my gifts were :D

    I bought DW a GPS, lots of books, DVDs and CDs, a lovely Superdry cardigan she liked but didn't buy as she felt she couldn't spend that much on herself, and some other bits like sweets and gingerbread rum.

    DD got a handmade dollhouse from her grandma, dollies, another laptop, books, a post office set, a tool kit, a keyboard she is 'jamming' on right now and lots of other lovely stuff we have no room for.
  • I got spoilt as well.

    From:

    My husband:

    * Personalised xmas card with his 2 teddy bears on the front with our names on them sitting in front of the fire, had a lovely message inside for me as xmas 2011 was our 1st xmas as husband/wife. He chose a frame for it as well (amongest everything else he got me, this was the best)
    * Iphone 3gs with a £15 itunes card
    * 2 iphone covers
    * £25 next voucher
    * Caligraphy set (I make my own cards as a hobby & he thought this kind of writing would look lovely in them, awwww)
    * Oil burner with 2 scents from the body shop
    * 4 pairs of PJs (knew about this as asked for it)

    My inlaws:

    * New handbag
    * Personalised hangbag mirror with my inital on it (love this)
    * Body shop stuff

    Joint pressie for me & hubby

    * Photo montage frame for the wall (fab as got loads of pics from August when my family were on holiday)
    * Scratch card at which we won £2
    * Then a xmas card with #2 written on the outside with £50 in as we didn't win loads of cash on the scratch card, lol. (Liked this, we found it funny as my mother in law said we wouldn't of needed £50 if we'd won £1,000 on the scratch card)

    My parents:

    * Pair of pjs
    * Book
    * Australian tv show dvd series
    * Australian choc
    * Necklace
    * 2012 Calander

    My sister:

    * Oil burner and scented candles
    * Bracelet

    Friends:

    * Charm
    * Love heart saying the 'new mr & mrs live here'
    * Jumper
    * Bracelet
    * My name on a bauble
    * Xmas place mat
    * Scented candle
    * Love heart candle holder & scented candle
    * Alcohol & choc

    My nanna (back home in Australia):

    * Australian food products
    * Koala magnet
    * Australia magnet with temp gage on it

    (love her to bits, she always sends stuff related to home for me)

    I had loadsss of things, each one I loved just as much as the other. My husband was extremely naughty, especially with the phone. When he asked what I wanted for xmas I said pjs and an oil burner from the body shop (I had a tear drop one and it broke, so wanted it replacing). The other things he got me, never came into my head.

    Hope everyone had a lovely xmas. Think I might go to next today, see if I can pick up anything nice with my voucher.

  • I got a cook book off my mum (well, I chose this with money she gave me)

    2 Yankee Candles, 4 bottles of Cherry Beer and a large multi aperture photo frame from my Nephew and his partner

    Red leather golf or driving gloves (???) from my auntie (very confused at this, I neither play golf or drive or am the kind of person that would wear any such thing, if you knew me you would understand)

    Then (I still have to wait for my main present apparently as OH is due a lump sum of money any time) from OH:

    2 craft books (I asked for)
    1 Breadmaking book (I asked for)
    Flavour Thesaurus (asked for...)
    John Bishop box set
    necklace with skulls and roses on (asked for)
    2 Iron Fist tops (Sid Vicious and Tank Girl)
    Loads of bath bombs/smellies
    Sweets and chocolates
    Vivienne Westwood Naughty Alice perfume

    I am very happy with everything I got, it was all perfect for me :D
