For a temporary solution, put a baking tray on top of the frying pan. It's something I saw a chef do on a cookery programme and it works. 😁0

Check out the silicon-based pan lids on Amazon - we got one which allows for it to be used for several pans. Works like a treat!1

Most pans are a standard sizes which means any lids will fit, there are the occasional company that use the external measurement rather than internal so are a 5-8mm smaller than they should be.
Charity shop, freecycle, eBay etc should all be the cheapest options, probably come with a free pan too.0 -
Went to every charity shop in town....and there's lots .....not a lid to be seen....but Poundland do the universal ones for £6 so picked one of those up
