Morning everyone and thanks for starting us off Gers.
Terrible weather here - rain and yet more rain.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday. x8 -
Morning All
It's a bit grey out there this morning but really quite mild for February. I've washing to do but that can stay inside as rain is due later.
I need to go out to get some birthday cards and some fresh fruit and veggies, apart from that I'm going to do a bit of housework and have a restful day. Yesterday's cleaning at the flat went well apart from all the last tennant's furniture still being there, the letting agent said it had been cleared. Hopefully it will go tomorrow as the photographer is booked for Tuesday, he may have to be cancelled.
What a drama for your family snoozer, glad they are safe. Hope Steve's anti-bs do their job quickly.
Pleased to hear you enjoyed your meal TA.
Hope the little one is well enough to come home soon dp1.
Have a peaceful and relaxing Sunday if you can. Take care. XX

Morning folks
Yesterday was fairly damp, not heavy rain but that annoying misty stuff. I went into town to drop off a bag of unwanted things to the community shop and try the butcher again. Bingo, this time he had belly pork so I bought some. Happiness on both counts. 😀 When home I got on with the messy task of slicing up the red cabbage, I've learnt to wear gloves for this, and a huge Bramley apple. With the cloves and bay leaf added the smell was one of my life with DM who made it regularly to have with a pork chop and fried potatoes. I had a delicious portion of it with belly pork later in the afternoon. The DW was loaded, run and all put away. Downstairs loo not fixed yet (perhaps today) so I did a lot of going up and down, something I haven't done
for decades. I must do more stair climbing to keep knees / quads strong and avoid 'bungalow knees'.Today there's the last of the paperwork to deal with and a bit of financial stuff to get through before the weekly banking tomorrow. The weather doesn't invite me to go outside, it's definitely like a dog's nose. There's leaves appearing on my rose bush, the daffs are beginning to burst open whilst the snowdrops are fading slightly.I hope that everyone is doing at least OK. @snoozer - enjoy the peace and quiet!10 -
Good morning
Although It’s pouring down here. Gers I’ve never heard of the saying a dogs nose. Looks like it is going to be a wet dog walk, although she is still fast asleep and very comfy.
Today house sort out continues. As Rain has stop play outside I will be putting together the double bed in my son’s room for when he’s back mobile. I managed to fix the sofit back to the front of the shed yesterday without injury whilst using the hammer.
Today’s dinner/tea will be Beef casserole with mash and veg.
Snoozer hope Steve’s antibiotics work quickly. Enjoy Ragdale Hall.DP1 Hope Dgd is soon hope, well done to your DD for standing her ground.
Camelot hope you get a buyer soon.
TA & Nan hope the Sandman came.
Coxy - I meant to say sorry to hear about your DH redundancy, it’s such a worry hope he finds something soon.
Take care one and all. I’ve decided I’m going to dance in the rain when I walk the dog. If I’m going to get wet I might as well do it properly.11 -
Morning allVery wet here, dreading what I'll find when I go into work tomorrow as some of our ceiling tiles collapsed last week and we had buckets everywhere. I work in a prison library and so far 50 odd books have been destroyed because of this. We've only been complaining about the stains coming through for about 5 years and at last they are doing something half hearted about it. Rant overShepherds pie for dinner and then some footie methinksKeep safe and well everyone x8

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a bit gloomy out there but at least it's fine. We seem to be avoiding the heavy rain up here that some of you are getting. And long may the mild spell last as it means the heating isn't on so much.
I've just been doing my lunchtime veg, with enough left over to warm up tomorrow. Other than that I think the usual Sunday of Sloth will follow! I feel a bit lethargic as the Sandman failed to make an appearance again last night.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning everyone
Just a quick one from me as I'm going to Newcastle this morning to see DD and little one, as she thinks they'll be in hospital for a couple more days yet. She says it's a lot harder to keep little one occupied there now she's bigger so she's going to ask if we can take her out for a change of scenery - DD could do with it too! Her oxygen levels are still dropping as soon as she goes to sleep, so she's had the oxygen on all night again. She has no clothes for her or a coat so I've got a bag of things to take - I don't really have many clothes for her at my house now she's bigger so it's a bit of a hotch-potch of things but they'll do.
Better get moving - hope you all have a good day x
Christca - that sounds like an interesting job x8 -
Hi everyone,
This will be a boring post, we had a very quiet day yesterday and will have another one today. I sorted the children's books and also washed the throws from the pale blue settee and chair, I'll leave them uncovered until the littlies and the dog come back, they're a bit of a pain, needing rearranging all the time but if they weren't there I dread to think what the furniture would look like.
The family eventually got to Pembrokeshire, hopefully the weather will be better there than it is here.
Have a good day.10 -
Morning everyone dp1 give the little one big hugs off us all she is such a brave little girl I hope she’s home soon nothing much happening here rain has stopped I seemed to get a lot of housework done yesterday as well as baking some quiches they soon disappeared two of my sons landed so that was a couple gone out of the door then they ate one with a cuppa between them I’m making a beef dinner for later but otherwise I think it will be a lazy day I wish it would warm up a bit more I’ve got loads of jobs I want to get on with outside a bit of painting and some plants need sorting out never mind two weeks and I will have all the time I want yipee . Morning all
Pouring with rain here too and reports of many roads being flooded a day to stay in I think. I have stripped the bed this morning and got the washing on a hot wash, it will have to be dried indoors today.
We took big dog for a longer walk yesterday but put her on the lead when she got too excited and she seems fine today so hopefully the two weeks lead walks have helped.
Dinner today will be roast pork and all the trimmings I’m going to try it and hope it doesn’t make me poorly, I have been so much better recently with cutting out rapeseed and palm oil so fingers crossed.
I popped in to see mum yesterday it would have been my brothers Birthday yesterday he would have been 60, I took mum some flowers and a cream cake, we had a bit of a cry she still struggles to believe he has gone 🥲
Have good days all and take care xx8
