Question regarding my eye test today

Hi, I get my eyes tested each year.

Today I got tested, only a very slight change in the Axis and -0.25 added to my right eye. However, although I have varifocals which I am happy with, they have not included "Inter Add 1+" for each eye. Something I have had for the last 3 years.

Should I be concerned?

At the moment my prescption is
R SPH -0.25 Near Add 1.5
L SPH -0.5 CYL 2.5 AXIS 85 Near add 1.5

Have you asked the Optician?

Varifocals are progressive, so a inter add is not required. They progress from your distance to your reading power via a gentle curve. Which is why some items can seem out of focus.

Inter would only be required if you were to go to "Tri- Focals"
