Is a wife entitled to husbands Pension upon his death

My Filipino wife's Aunty lost her UK Husband recently and she would like to know if she is entitled to his UK pension. She has had conflicting information none of which is clear.

She is a Filipino citizen living here in the Philippines.

and if State pension - it will depend on when both the late husband and surviving wife reached / are due to reach State Pension Age

If he had any private pension provision, she'd need to check with the pension provider/pension scheme direct, whether or not the pension was actually in payment.
