though about buying seasonal bargains to get the hottest deals. Please suggest the best things to buy summer and winter and may be in between.

    Don't think we have seasons any more (including the weather.!). Best bet is to keep a look out for BOGOFs, Sales, Clearances, Over-stocks etc or just short-cut this and carry on reading MSE...

    I always buy barbeque and gardening things at the end of the summer when they are on offer because the shops are clearing the shelves for winter stock.
