Working for Aldi or Lidl

I have applied for customer assistant roles in both my local Aldi and Lidl. I might not get either job but just wondered how they compared regarding starting pay, benefits, holidays etc. Obviously work is fast paced and physically demanding in both types of role and can depend on what store you work at whether you have a good manager. Just wanted to get an idea of some of the basic package. I have googled them both. I believe Aldi says 28 days holidays, paid breaks, not sure about health care. Lidl says 30-35 days holiday and 10% staff discount. Not sure about breaks . Maybe someone who experience of both could help me. I dont want to ask a silly question if i get an interview. Thanks

There've been a few comments about customer service at both stores on this thread. As I recall Aldi wins out on happy workers generally but as you say it really comes down to how good a manager is.

Google on 'Aldi v Lidl employment terms' and you'll get lots of interesting links eg https://benefits-expert.com/lidl-joins-aldi-becoming-top-paying-uk-supermarket/Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1
